Rising Stars: Meet Jeremy “LOVRemy” Halalayah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy “LOVRemy” Halalayah.

Jeremy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started off singing in the church, and as I got older, I began to ask for things pertaining to music. I requested drum sets, keyboards and began messing around with creating songs at a very young age. At the age of 15, I bought a microphone off of the internet, and I have been making music ever since. With repetition, I began to perfect my craft and got better as the years progressed.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. This journey has been filled with many trials and tribulations. From betrayal to disrespect, this journey has been everything but easy. However, those struggles have been mainly external. Speaking on the internal struggles, the bumpiest part of my musical life has been the creation process. Most of my studio nights end with my head on the desk, praying for inspiration. I strive for my music to change lives for the better whilst also maintaining a professional, welcoming sound. So, as I attempt to be one of the greatest Artists who has ever lived, not accepting anything less than this standard, the most difficult part of this walk is maintaining inspiration and creating life-changing music at the same time.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
While I am mainly known for being a Musical Artist (in which I specialize), I voice act as well. One of the things I am most proud is my dedication to maintaining the integrity of my Christian Faith during my musical endeavor. There have been countless opportunities for me to discard my morals for opportunities of success, so I am most proud that I have remained dedicated to Jesus Christ and not ingratiating myself with every occasion that came about.

Truly what sets me about from others is the fact that I am transparent and genuine. Music nowadays has mostly been sacrificed for image or monetary gain. A lot of artists are afraid to talk about the things that we all go through, which is, being lonely, anxious, and things of that nature. Most Artists puff themselves up to maintain a false bravado. We all hurt, and we all have things that touch us, and unfortunately, in our society, monetization has been put on the front burner where love and pure intention belongs.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
One of the things that matters to me most is authenticity. I strive daily to be genuine, transparent, and honest in a society that’s partially void of these fruits. It matters to me because I have to be the change I want to see in the world: it all starts within. With one step at a time, maybe I can be an example for individuals who can take what I have done, apply it to their lives, and supersede anything that I could have ever done in my lifetime. I strive to inspire while letting people know that “it’s okay to express yourself.” “It’s okay to admit you’re hurting.” And it’s okay to let people go who aren’t benefiting the fulfillment of your life.
