Meet Nathaniel Nia of Chocolate Emporium

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Nia. 

Hi Nathaniel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Chocolate Emporium is a Cleveland-based chocolate shop specializing in artisan-crafted, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher dark chocolates. The business started in 1993 when Mr. and Mrs. Newman wanted to create chocolate that would taste great and still be safe for people with diet restrictions, such as their own children who suffered from food allergies. Chocolate Emporium today continues to provide the same quality confections out of its local chocolate shop and grocery stores throughout several states. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all. We started as a small retail shop, and now we carry our products in grocery stores throughout 4 states. There has been a lot of learning and adjusting along the way. For example, we needed to change our packaging to extend shelf life and be suitable to sit on grocery shelf. In addition, we needed to create packaging that would draw attention to the eye since our products would be sitting in a huge grocery store where nobody had even heard of us. 

As you know, we’re big fans of Chocolate Emporium. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
Our company specializes in quality gourmet chocolates that are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and kosher. There are not many companies that can offer dark chocolate with all of the above qualities. Our products are available throughout Ohio and parts of IN, PA, and IL. We also take orders online and can ship worldwide. 

What do you think about luck?
Of course. God (or Luck) is definitely a factor. The longer I live the more it becomes clear to me.
