Hidden Gems: Meet Leigh Harris of Assured Evidence, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leigh Harris.

Hi Leigh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Several of us who are in ministry together and retired found that there is a need for a convenient way to provide fingerprinting and background check services. With our combined experience in Human Resources, Engineering and Finance we found that employers are now requiring background checks where once it was not so much part of the onboarding process. After much thought and counsel, we started Assured Evidence LLC in October 2022. In addition to providing background checks we also obtained our notary certifications.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The mobile service we offer is challenging because our daily schedule is greatly impacted by travel time from one location to another, traffic conditions, and client cancellations. This limits the number of clients we can see each day.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Assured Evidence is a Northeast Ohio company that is excited to serve our local and regional community. We offer electronic fingerprinting and notary services on-site at our location in Garfield Heights, OH. We are also mobile and will travel off-site to go to our clients’ location.

Here at Assured Evidence, we are eager to work with businesses to conduct pre-hire fingerprinting for all individuals employed in the healthcare, security, public transportation, education and other industries. We also perform notarial acts for all documents that can or are required to be notarized including power of attorneys, wills, loan documents, and other legal documents.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We are looking to expand our business services to provide assistance in completing Medical and End of life documentation. In having experienced these situations in our personal lives, we know the challenges in completing these documents. This service will help clients determine what documents are needed and assist them with filling out the appropriate forms and submitting them to the proper agency. We are also looking provide Human Resource and Employee Relations consulting services.
