Hidden Gems: Meet Danielle Dores of Partners in Growth Counseling & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Dores, LPC.

Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Early on, I knew that my career should focus on serving others. This realization came from my experience coaching youth volleyball and mentoring children and parents alike. To further my knowledge and expertise, I pursued Master’s degrees in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Kentucky University. Upon moving to Clermont County, I noticed the lack of clinical mental health services available for children and their families. As a result, I opened a practice that specializes in evidence-based interventions to address common mental health conditions in individuals, couples, and families. My expertise lies in treating anxiety and depression, improving communication skills and relationships for families and couples, and promoting social-emotional well-being in children through my services to schools and programs.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
While opening my own practice has presented its own set of challenges, seeking consultation has been invaluable. By connecting with other successful therapists and business owners, I’ve been able to navigate any difficulties that have come up. Just as I provide support to my clients, I also rely on the support of others when I need it. When it comes to finding a therapist, it’s a deeply personal process that hinges on a variety of factors. The therapeutic relationship is built on mutual comfort and safety within the therapeutic environment, which is especially important when working with children and their parents. In my experience, being authentic is the best way to attract compatible clients and make real progress toward treatment goals.

As you know, we’re big fans of Partners in Growth Counseling & Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
It’s important to seek guidance from mentors who have experience and knowledge in your field. Personally, I attribute much of my success to acknowledging when I need help from those who have been there before. Connecting with successful business owners and leaning on their support has been invaluable to me. For anyone starting out on their own, I suggest finding trustworthy mentors who you can turn to when you encounter challenges beyond your expertise. At the same time, it’s vital to have confidence in your own abilities and not let imposter syndrome hold you back from pursuing your dreams and taking those challenging first steps.
