Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Hale.

Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a lover of animals of all kinds. When my kids were little we had three dogs and it was difficult to take the kids out for an entire day with no one to look after our puppies. A friend suggested I start pet sitting to help other families with the same situation and because I love my pups so much. That was ten years ago and I’ve been doing it ever since. My genuine love, care, and compassion for animals has gotten me to where I’m at today in a thriving business.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life is anything but a smooth road, every endeavor will have its ups and downs. Learning how to ride the waves and go with the flow is essential. Through covid, business was very slow but I was lucky enough to work part time at a gas station to keep the few clients I had during that time very happy. When Covid ended I was equally as blessed to be thriving and continuing pet sitting full time.

Here at Reliable Pet we are passionate about pet care! We are bonded and insured, accredited with the BBB, and pet CPR certified. We specialize in being trustworthy professionals coming to your home to take care of your pets. This allows pets that do not do well in kennel settings to stay in the comfort of their own home while their parents are at work or traveling. We are known for our work with pets who have medical needs. We’ve worked with many pets who have seizures, need insulin, take pills on a schedule, or have high anxiety. We are also known for providing pet care to exotic pets like birds, bunnies, reptiles, and chinchillas. We’re very proud to provide love and compassion to our clients and their families to make their lives better. Whether that’s being able to work a long day worry free from coming home to a mess or being able to travel for fun or to see family for the holidays. We’re honored to be a pillar to help the community with their pet care needs.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is seeing my clients happy. When the client sees their pet getting the best care possible and that their pet is so happy and comfortable even though the parent is away. The comfort we provide to the clients knowing they can leave and their pets with Reliable Pet and their babies will be taken care of just as well as if the client was still home. And the relief we provide knowing they can leave their pets at home with us stopping by and the client can go see family or take care of business worry free. We love to help families with their pets!
