Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwain Thomas.

Hi Dwain , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I discovered his love for photography while living in Atlanta, What began as curiosity soon became a calling to document stories with honesty and soul.

Now based in Columbus, Ohio, I built Dwain Thomas Photography into a studio known for portraits, headshots, and event work that blend artistry with authenticity. My style draws from photographers like Gordon Parks and William Coupon, combining classic craftsmanship with modern intention.

Every image created, reflects a belief that photography isn’t just about capturing faces, it’s about preserving legacy and telling stories that endure.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a semi smooth road. My biggest challenge, like many artists is being critical and getting in my own way of creativity.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer. I focus on headshots, portraits and events.
What sets me apart is the intention i set for myself and have that reflected to the client and my work. I aim to create work that is genuine and soulful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe that intention and gratitude plays a huge part in the success I’ve had.

My intention is to show up, do good work and deliver on time. Having good work ethic makes clients happy, happy clients come back and I’m grateful for that.
