Daily Inspiration: Meet Carol Moye

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Moye.

Hi Carol, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It first started with a christmas gift of polymer clay from my daughter. A strong attempt to cure the boredom of empty nesting and its intoxicating side effects of chronic afternoon naps. With that clay opened up an enormous box creativity that I didnt know I held. From earrings, to badgereels, to bracelets all sculpted with my hands, only with clay. Then came the beads, the resin and well the rest is history. I initially started selling my costum designs by request but I felt moved to do something in honor of my late son CSAA Jaylon Moye. Who unexpectedly passed away in 2021 while stationed in Bahrain, serving in the U.S Navy. Life Ahead Creations was born in honor, inspiration and push from my children.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No path, road or journey is easy. No matter how pretty & strong the foundation seems there are always air tight cracks. For me my biggest obstacle was myself. Being afraid of how my work could be perceived. Being afraid of success.
However, it’s not fear that stops you its the lack of support that makes you fall through those cracks.
Lucky me, my loving husband, family & best friend held my head high. Any obstacle, question or doubt they sent up prayers backing me up and restoring my confidence. All the moral support & hard labor I received has pushed me to go beyond what I couldve ever imagined.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create fashionable jewelry, accesories, customized cups, pens, keychains, shirts & badgereels. Honestly, if you name it I can customize it and if I havent done it before I always find a way to make it work.
I specialize in fashionable jewelry & accessories. My braceletes & pens are my most prized creations. I am most proud of all of my creations, especially my bracelets. Seeing the excitment of my customers as they purchase my products and then seeing them in public wearing something that I created is a staple in my memory that I carry while im creating all of my peices. What sets me apart from others is that anything you get from me was crafted only by me from start to finish. I believe I bring peoples vision to life.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Wow what a question!
Well it’s something that I have never told any one.
One day, I believe I had to be 11 years old, laying on the couch pretending to be sleep as I heard my parents walk through the door. They stared at me, with my eyes peaked slightly, they didn’t know I was awake.
As I continued my charade, I listened to them talking to eachother saying how beautiful I was and that I would really turn out to be something. It’s like they were marveling their own creation, me.
That moment made me who i am today & is why I worked so hard to become the little girl that they invisioned me to be. I wish that I got to tell them that I was awake & heard everything but I know that they see me now and I hope they are proud.
