Today we’d like to introduce you to Trey Daring.
Hi Trey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Eichholtz & Daring PETS, a pet-only cremation facility, officially opened in Bellefontaine in 2020 to provide quality, professional, one-at-a-time cremation services for all pets. This initiative arose organically due to the community demand over several years. We are proud to be the first and only on-site pet cremation service in our area. While we have operated an on-site human crematory since 2015, Ohio law mandates complete separation between human and animal cremations, prompting us to add a PETS-only facility just five years later.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to getting both the City of Bellefontaine as well as the EPA’s blessing to be able to install the PETS crematory at our in town, Bellefontaine location went as well as can be expected. The list of requirements is long to secure the permits necessary for either a human or pet crematory installation, but the City of Bellefontaine was very good to work with though the entire process.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Eichholtz & Daring PETS Cremation Center, we consider ourselves a boutique pet cremation center, where all of our pets are cremated privately, one pet at a time, in a private space 100% dedicated to pets. This makes us different than the majority of pet crematories because we take care of our pet family members in the same manor as we care of our human family members. Our manager, Mia Hodge, dedicates 100% of her time to pet families.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to our team is having the ability to care for your entire family. We strive each day to bringing new ideas and solutions to pet death care, focusing on bringing comfort and compassion to the families we serve.
