Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Forrest
Hi Terry, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Since I was a kid I had interest in build items and painting. My father was a carpenter by trade. So I watched and helped him as much as possible. I have been building crafts ,decks. barns, etc for alot of years. I worked in a factory for 25 years as a quality tech trying to find solutions to problems. I retired early due to the lost of my right eye. I always wanted a mom and pop store. One can open in town so I pursued to rent it. I have been fixing items for people and finding good used antique furniture to sell at a good affordable price. I’m living a long time dream of mine.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Losing my eye has slowed me down from doing certain things. Trying to become a professional baseball player didn’t work out. Tried out for Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates. Factory shutting down after working for 24 year of service.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m very passionate on what I do. I also very giving to people. I love helping people. I want people to keep coming back to my store because of good merchandise and affordable prices
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Pleasing the customers. Making new friends. Helping people
