Rising Stars: Meet Stephanie Pilgrim of Toledo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Pilgrim.

Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a woman in commercial real estate, I saw the potential for a lofted venue in Downtown Toledo. The Mez came to life through a tremendous amount of love, sweat and tears. We are thrilled to offer an upscale venue in Toledo, Ohio that makes people feel like they are in a true metropolitan city. In 2026 we will host over 20 weddings, countless corporate events and private parties. We are excited to be an integral part of Toledo and appreciate the community support.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle for us was going through the permitting process for our construction buildout. We learned a lot along the way and fine tuned our patience.

I am a commercial real estate agent, investor and developer. I am most proud of owning property around Toledo, being a good landlord and adding value to the City.

There are no shortcuts to success. Many hours of hard work behind the scenes is normally what it takes to build something great.
