Rising Stars: Meet Randy Burke of Grove city

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Burke.

Randy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Been around flooring my entire life . Was going on job sites with my dad at the age of 5 and have hallway worked weekends and days school was closed. I’ve always had the love of flooring but I worked for companies through the years and finally march of 2025 I had the opportunity to take over a store. The store was around for over 40 years . When we took over we started advertising anywhere we could afford with digital marketing as well.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The store didn’t have any contracts it only survived off of word of mouth. This was a bit of a struggle so we invested everything we could in advertising and marketing. It has taken alot of our profit but has been worth the journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve installed carpet for over 28 years full-time. I consider carpet to be our specialty but we take alot of pride in any flooring that we put down. As of now I still handle all of the installation while overseeing the entire operation. I’ve always had the love of installing flooring. It has given me free time with my kids and never have to miss any of their school or sporting events.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I will consider the business a true success when im able to run the business from the inside and not have to handle the installation side of it.
