Rising Stars: Meet Nicole Dixon of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Dixon.

Nicole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve had a camera in my hands since elementary school. I studied fine arts and photography at CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design), started my business in 2003 and have been photographing full time ever since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started in photography with film and was excited when digital came along. I’ve love learning, whether it be new cameras, technology, or techniques, it’s all really exciting.

My work blends elevated whimsy with timeless storytelling. I capture weddings, portraits, and branding with a balance of sophistication and playfulness—images that feel polished yet full of life.

With over a decade of experience and hundreds of weddings photographed, I know how to create an atmosphere where couples and families feel comfortable, authentic, and radiant. The result is imagery that reflects not just how your looked, but how you felt—elevated heirlooms with a touch of everyday magic.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Watch and listen. Being a quiet observer helps me see more honestly and provide a heartfelt experience to my clients.
