Rising Stars: Meet Myeisha Thompson of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myeisha Thompson.

Hi Myeisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Looking back, my entrepreneurial journey doesn’t surprise me because I’ve always known I was meant to work for myself in some capacity. Even at a young age, I knew I was driven, independent, strong-willed, and willing to put in the work to create the life I wanted. I always had the mindset of building something of my own I just didn’t know exactly what path would lead me there.

As I’ve grown through entrepreneurship and explored different business ventures, I’ve learned that success doesn’t have to come from just one direction. There isn’t only one path to building something meaningful, and I’ve come to understand the value of creating multiple streams of income and remaining open to evolving along the way. Especially in today’s world, having multiple avenues to create impact and financial freedom is powerful.

Through every stage of my journey including some of my most difficult personal challenges, like navigating cancer treatment while continuing to build my businesses and show up as a mother I’ve grown stronger and gained even more clarity about my purpose.

More than anything, I want my journey to encourage other women to find their own voice, discover what they’re passionate about, and confidently pursue it, whatever that looks like for them. Whether that’s entrepreneurship, leadership in corporate America, or another path entirely, success is about defining it for yourself and showing up fully for it.

It’s important to me to be a positive example not only for the women around me today, but for the next generation of young women watching. I want them to see what’s possible and know that if I can overcome obstacles, keep building, and create something meaningful, they can too.

At the heart of everything I build is that message: resilience, purpose, and the reminder that every woman has the power to claim her crown and create her own success story.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I became a mother at a young age while I was still a freshman in college. After having my son, I tried to return to school, but balancing full-time work, full-time classes, and raising a toddler became overwhelming. For a while, I felt like life was forcing me to choose between survival and my dreams. But even though I had to step away from school at the time, I refused to let that define my future or place a limit on what I could accomplish.

I went on to build a career in healthcare and worked my way into management without having a degree, which is not easy to do in that field. I had to prove myself constantly. My work ethic, dedication, and ability to lead had to speak louder than credentials on paper. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to keep moving forward even when the odds were not in my favor.

Then, just as I felt like I was finally finding stability, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. That changed everything. It changed how I view time, freedom, purpose, and the kind of life I want to build. Going through treatment forced me to slow down and reevaluate what truly matters. I realized I no longer wanted a life that depended on me pushing through exhaustion or showing up sick just to survive.

One of the very first things I did after learning I was in remission was enroll back in school to complete my degree. For me, that decision was deeper than education — it was personal. It represented perseverance, unfinished dreams, and proving to myself that no matter how many times life interrupted my plans, I could still continue my story. Now, my goal is not only to finish what I started, but also to inspire and help as many people as I can along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an entrepreneur, content creator, and someone deeply passionate about encouraging women to keep dreaming no matter what season of life they’re in. A lot of the work I do is rooted in empowerment, connection, and reminding women that they are still allowed to want more for themselves while also being mothers, partners, caregivers, or navigating difficult chapters in life.

I believe women can have ambition, peace, success, softness, family, and purpose all at the same time. Too often, women are made to feel like they have to choose between taking care of everyone else and pursuing their own dreams. I’m passionate about challenging that mindset and showing other women that it’s never too late to reinvent themselves, start over, heal, grow, or build the life they truly want.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve built businesses centered around travel, lifestyle, and service, but what I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve had through authenticity and resilience. I’ve continued to pour into others while navigating some of the hardest moments of my own life, including my cancer journey. That experience changed the way I see life and made me even more intentional about encouraging women to live fully, take chances, and stop putting themselves last.

What sets me apart is that I lead from a real place. I don’t believe in pretending life is perfect. I believe in being honest about the challenges while still inspiring people to keep going anyway. My goal is for women to look at my story and feel seen, motivated, and reminded that their dreams still matter.

What makes you happy?
Helping others makes me happy when I am uplifting others, encouraging others it fills my cup and helps me to keep moving forward. Spending time with my family and making memories with my two children..
