Hi Dana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in August 2020, during the COVID pandemic. Feeling stuck in my current job, I was very unhappy and lacked a sense of purpose in my life. While burning a candle, I wondered what it would take to create one myself. After conducting some research and enduring many unsuccessful attempts, I finally perfected my craft. This quest for purpose inspired me to name my business (re)purpose lifestyle and wellness, emphasizing the importance of finding personal wellness, even if it meant hitting the reset button.
Over the years, I’ve tried to maintain this narrative, but it hasn’t always come naturally. I started gaining recognition for my collaborations, elaborate market setups, and creative candle concepts and themes, eventually leading to the birth of Concept Candle Bar. Choosing to rebrand was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my business journey. I love that I no longer have to conform to a box to convey my message through my candles. Now, I enjoy the freedom to explore any concept I envision with my candle collections.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Diving into candle making? Brace yourself for a waxy rollercoaster! It’s not all sweet scents and smooth pours; you need a fiery passion to light up the path to profit. When I hit the reset button and morphed into Concept Candle Bar, it was like crafting my first candle all over again. Sure, I had to charm a whole new crowd and wave goodbye to some old flame customers, but if you’re chasing that big glow-up, you have to let it go. Once I nailed down my scent-loving tribe, my business really started to burn bright!
Also, being cool and eco-friendly with a luxury experience isn’t easy either but we nailed it with our luxury candle that’s both eco-friendly and smells amazing. It’s all about using phthalate-free scents and a unique 100% coconut soy wax blend. Our candles burn clean and even, giving you hours of awesome aroma without nasty chemicals. Plus, our natural cotton wicks keep everything pure and bright.
We’re all about sustainability, so our packaging is recycled, and we hope you’ll reuse those classy jars once the candle’s done.

I’m a candle maker who’s super proud of my ability to connect with people through these small, fragrant tokens of joy. ‘It’s truly rewarding, and it’s what drives me to keep refining my skills and exploring new possibilities. My creative flair—mixing scents that click with people and watching their reactions to the names I pick is a joy. I’m also proud of the range of services I provide, like memorial candles, private label wholesale, baby shower favors, and wedding favors. If there’s a chance to make a candle that someone loves for any occasion, count me in! This variety keeps my brain buzzing with new ideas, which is why i love fulfilling custom orders.
