Hi Terrie , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’d love to share my story!
For over 20 years, I’ve been the person family and friends turned to when it came to planning wedding, parties and special events. Everyone always told me that this was my niche and I need to open my own planning business. I’ve always had a passion for creating meaningful moments that make an event feel personal and unforgettable. After years of helping bring their vision to life, I decided in April 2026 to launch Terrie Lynn Events Co. Based in the Cincinnati + Dayton and surrounding Ohio areas. As of today, I have been in business a little over a month and have already booked multiple weddings and had the honor to shadow some of the most well know designers and planners. God always has the right timing! Thankful
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Prior to launch my business in April 2026, there were definitely moments where the road didn’t feel smooth. It all started during covid when my husband lost his job and we lost everything, we had to rebuild, send our kids through college, pay for weddings and continue rebuilding but when you are dealt “lemons you make lemonade” Sometimes the unexpected moments in life are what pushes you toward your dreams. In February I unexpectedly lost my job. Those challenges ultimately pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and finally pursue something I had been passionate about for years. Since launching, it has been an incredibly rewarding journey filled with growth, learning and meaningful connections.

Terrie Lynn Events Co. is a company based in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio area specializing in Design, Planning and Coordination of Events and Weddings.
Earning my wedding planning certification, I felt was so important to give my clients the confidence that with my education, experience and knowledge of the industry they could relax and trust me that I would bring their vision to life.
I love focusing on the details “special moments” that make a wedding or event feel personable. For example, in my daughter’s wedding one detail I loved was we wrapped the silk part of her childhood blanket around her bouquet to make her feel safe and comforted.
I also LOVE organization, communication, and paying attend to meaningful details to bring a couple’s vision to life. Whether it’s creating detailed timelines, coordinating vendors or simply helping calm nerves on the wedding day. I love communication (maybe a little too much lol) because I believe it’s essential for keeping everyone on the same page throughout the planning process of an event or wedding.
As a new business owner, one of the things I’m proud of is taking a lifelong passion and turning it into something real. In a short amount of time, I’ve built my brand, launched my website, connected with incredible couples, other designers and vendors, and continue to learn from experienced professionals in the wedding industry. Grateful!
