Today we’d like to introduce you to TaSheena Hogue.
Hi TaSheena , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Tangible Habits out of a deep passion for sharing the principles of behavior analysis beyond the environments I was working in. I saw a real need for bridging the gaps between educators, providers, and caretakers helping them see behavior through a new lens. There’s such a strong need for training, consistency, and understanding when it comes to supporting learners, and I wanted to create a space where adults could grow their skills and confidence.
What drives me most is guiding adults to reach their full potential helping them identify their values within their roles and connecting those values to how they engage with the learners they support. Having the autonomy to educate in this way has opened my eyes to just how great the need is in our communities.
At Tangible Habits, my goal is to inspire, individualize, and maintain cultural responsiveness in every interaction. By doing this, we open doors to deeper compassion and awareness, ultimately creating stronger, more supportive environments for learners and the people who care for them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely had its challenges, but nothing unexpected when you’re working to create real, lasting change. One of the biggest hurdles has been the limited resources and time in educational settings for staff to fully implement what they’re learning. Often, this connects to a lack of confidence, support, and endurance to carry out strategies with full fidelity—but that’s exactly why Tangible Habits exists. These challenges have only reinforced my commitment to equipping educators and caregivers with the tools and confidence they need.
There have also been minor challenges with funding to expand our services, but I see those moments as opportunities to be creative and advocate for the value of behavioral support. Overall, these struggles feel like natural parts of the journey and have helped me grow as a leader. They’ve also deepened my passion to bring awareness to the importance of this work and the long-term change it creates.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tangible Habits is a consulting business built on the belief that meaningful change starts with empowering the adults who support learners. We specialize in behavior analysis, professional development, parent training, coaching, and tiered behavioral support. Our mission is to make growth and change truly tangible with our support, we help individuals and teams break down complex requests, trainings, and skills into manageable, actionable steps that meet them where they are.
Along with training, coaching, and consultation, Tangible Habits is excited to introduce a new service: Tangible Ties, a sibling support group designed to create a safe, fun, and empowering space for siblings of children with unique needs. This group provides siblings with opportunities to connect, share experiences, and develop skills for understanding and supporting their family dynamic, all while building their own confidence and sense of community.
What sets Tangible Habits apart is our individualized, wrap-around approach. Our newest adventure, Tangible Ties, reflects this commitment by offering a sibling support group designed to strengthen relationships, foster empathy, and create a community of understanding. By tailoring solutions to each person’s abilities and needs, we make growth and change realistic, sustainable, and empowering for all.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how Tangible Habits represents compassion, empowerment, and cultural responsiveness. We’re not just here to “fix behavior” we’re here to build understanding, foster growth, and create a ripple effect that benefits entire communities.
For readers, I want them to know that Tangible Habits is here to bridge gaps—whether that’s between schools and families, staff and students, or systems and communities. We offer customized training, coaching, and consultation services to meet people exactly where they are and help them get to where they want to be. At its core, Tangible Habits is about turning small, intentional habits into powerful, long-term change making desired outcomes feel truly within reach.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is advocating for learners especially those who are misunderstood. I am deeply passionate about understanding their needs, connecting with them, and being a voice for those who may struggle to express themselves. Every individual deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported, and that belief is at the heart of everything I do.
At the same time, I know real change starts with us—the adults. That’s why I’m equally committed to uplifting, educating, and equipping parents, educators, and caregivers with the tools and confidence to meet learners where they are. When we empower adults with compassion and knowledge, we create safe, supportive environments where every individual has the chance to thrive.
