Hi Shanell, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
De Arenque Creations is a graphic design business that started in 2020. I got the idea of starting my company when a few of my friends and family members asked me to design logos and other business services. I was working at Nordstrom when I started my business and realized I didn’t want to work a 9-5 job anymore, So I took my last 3 paychecks and invested it into my company by getting everything I needed such as my logo, LLC, business cards, websites, social media handles and more. After a month, I launched my business website, and I started sharing it on all my social media handles and just like that De Arenque Creations was created, and my business was officially opened for business. After a few mins of the website being up customers leads and request started to come through. I was so happy that everyone all over was seeing my work and my designs. De Arenque Creations has been very successful over the years and have designed graphics for Aloft of Easton, CJ’S Soulfood, Personal Paparazzi Ohio, What’s Next For Women’s Podcast, Pretty In Primp, Berries By Mari, and that’s just to name a few local businesses. I enjoy what I do, and seeing my customers’ reviews and smiles are a huge satisfaction to me and my company. I got to where I am today by creating quality products and giving great customer service to each and every one of my customers. My family and customers have been my biggest supporters because without them, my company wouldn’t be where it is now. Starting my business came with a lot of bumps in the road, and traffic wasn’t where it needed to be, but I made it through. I started to promote my business and created a YouTube channel to gain more followers and get my business notice worldwide. I never once doubted myself. I always believed that I would get this far, but it all came from patience, time, and lots of marketing. But I’m very happy with my business accomplishment and happy to say my business is doing amazing.

It definitely has been some bumps in the road. One of the struggles were clientele and trying to figure out how to gain clients daily, and figuring out how to get my business noticed.
