Meet Samantha Quallich of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Quallich.

Hi Samantha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Samantha and I am the owner/photographer at Q Photography LLC. This Spring marks my fifth year running my photography company. I am also a school teacher full time and am a mother to three beautiful, energetic boys.

I started photography as a hobby and slowly had people starting to ask to take portraits for them. After a while, I decided to start my own business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Due to my location, my city is very saturated with photographers. Initially, the first year was a little slow but has definitely picked up since.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a middle school show choir director and photographer. I specialize in photographing children, newborns, and families. I am most proud of learning photography on other side as a full time teacher and mother.

I have a major passion for both of my careers which puts me apart from others. I’m an extremely hard worker and am always looking to see how I can better myself and business.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I would tell a person to start small and have small goals. I would also tell a person to always keep learning and never be satisfied with where you are at.
