Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Matthews. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Robert “4 Seasons” Matthews is a Photographer, DJ, and Videographer from Dayton Ohio. In 2010, his father introduced me to the culture of Disc Jocking when he was visiting my hometown of Nashville Tennessee. 4 Seasons enjoyed the art so much his father quickly bought his first turntable to practice on. He had an opportunity to DJ for one of the biker groups called the “Ruff Ryders” holiday parties that was his first chance to create in the world of DJing. In 2011, He kicked off my DJ career at Wright State University by taking on a variety of gigs from Campus Events, Special Events, and also clubs/Bars. 2014 was his rise to local recognition as 4 Seasons had the opportunity to start working with Wright State University Basketball Program as the Official DJ for the University. He completed (3) seasons as the official Wight State University Sports DJ and his opportunities quickly expanded. More doors around Ohio and surrounding areas started to open, he had the opportunity to work and share stages with names such as the following John Legend, Future, Michael Blackson, and many more!
In 2018, 4 Seasons took on a different challenge, he still wanted to DJ but picked up the art of photography along the way, this was a challenge because most of the time as a DJ, he was in front of the camera but now behind it capturing the moments. In 2019 he re-branded his entire company The 4 Seasons Effect. The 4 Seasons Effect Media LLC is a brand focusing on DJ, Photography, and Videography this allowed 4 Seasons to professionally blend his passions to better suit his client’s needs and his creative skillset. In the photography world, he has the opportunity to work for many types of event types such as weddings, studio work, private events, graduations, and the list goes on. He lives by the motto “Book Now Be Amazed Later” and that applies to all of his creative work. 4 Season’s collaborative catalog of work has been blessed to be featured in magazines such as HBCU Digest (2018 & 2019) & Ebony (2019 & 2020). You also can find some of his work on multiple large social media websites/outlets and more.
Currently, The 4 Seasons Effect has grown a large amount in the last three years taking on new challenges, bringing in new people, and working with new clients. In 2022, The 4 Seasons Effect Media LLC opened its first studio for photography/creative work called Legacy IV Studio located right in the heart of Downtown Dayton. 4 Seasons stated “It’s exciting to be able to have a home to take amazing photos, create breathtaking concepts along with collaborating with the city of Dayton and surrounding areas”

College Graduation Session was my first specialization. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot over 50 College graduates since 2018. Now, I’m incorporating more into Studio, Corporate, and Wedding Photography.

Opening Legacy IV Studio, it’s hard to want a brick and Mortor during these times we are living in. I believe that sometimes you must bet on yourself to truly take the next step in life.
