Meet Raz Kyng

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raz Kyng.

Hi Raz, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. 
Musician, Actor, Dancer, Lyrcist, Fashion Designer, Sketch Artist, Graphic Artist, Independent Entrepreneur, Promoter, Event Organizer, and Planner. These are just a few phrases that describe Raz Kyng. Born and raised in the heart of Cincinnati, OH, this rising star is a multi-talented phenomenon. His roots in the music and fashion design industry are strongly linked to his father, Rico Soul, the International MC, Recording Artist, Dancer, Lyricist, and mother Sesy Boo artist, model, and musician. His versatility is impeccable and one sought after. He is a lyrical genius who is versatile in platforming various genres of music, including Soulful R&B, Conscious, Dancehall, Afro Beat, Soca, Island Reggae, and Modern-Day Hip Hop with a twist of Gansta rap. 

At a very young age, he began his dancing career which led to his professional performance for over 8 years. He’s been afforded the opportunity to work as a travel performer with a network of companies such as BET’s Blazin tha Stage (New York City), House of Dance (Tennessee), and World of Dance (Las Vegas). To his credit, Raz King has danced and rapped on stages with the likes of Day 26, Tee Grizzley, Lantana, and much more. As an artist, Raz participated in Cincinnati’s first Concrete Cypher hosted by Virdiko DJs such as Mr. 5th the DJ and DJ BearNickle 2016. He’s also have had the opportunity to perform for Sony AnRs in Louisville, KY Radcliff. He has also had his hand in to help sprout a few local events in the city as an event planner organizer, and promoter. He’s in process of developing an international reggae music project with uprising African artist Natty Nawago from Kenya, Africa. His networking opportunities stretches far overseas in areas of Paris, France to Jamaica, and here in the states forming multiple connections with all sorts of people and businesses over the country and abroad across the seas. 

As a designer, Raz has developed fashion material for various independent businesses and entrepreneurs. As such, for example, Uptown Riders Car Club and other small upcoming business. YUNG KYNGZ APPAREL is his clothing line that is on the verge of being operational worldwide. With his designing abilities he has sketched designed for multiple small business companies and illustrator of a California upcoming clothing brand. He has a website currently under maintenance and will be online and announced via social platforms when release date is available. He has also had the opportunity to become a brand ambassador for several companies such as; California, Hidden Hills, Poppy Apparel, and Cincinnati’s newest clothing brand on the rise called Poetree. 

He has made appearances in countless local and regional music competitions and open mic sessions in and out of town on the south and east coast. In fact, he placed 4th in BET’s 2015 HipHop Summer Awards Auditions in Akron, Ohio. He won 2017 Best Performance of the Year Award from UHMM Underground Hip Hop Musik Movement in Cincinnati, OH. Currently, he is scheduled to go on tour May 28th, 2020, for the “SAVE THE MUSIC TOUR” for a period of 3 months until August. Also, He’s booked a gig down in the Dominican Republic November 19th of 2020 for his first international concert. He is a rising star with an incredible future! His current works include developing multiple projects with his company, YUNG KYNGZ ENT, developing sketch prototypes for private entrepreneurs, developing material to establish his corporate head YUNG KYNGZ ENTERTAINMENT LLC. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It had most definitely been a struggle. We can go more deep into it with specific questions, but yes, it most definitely has been and still is.

He has released his hip-hop reggae dancehall style single titled Move it Move it- Raz Kyng ft Mr. 5th the Dj, which office released worldwide May 20th, 2019, on all music platforms for streaming, downloading, and purchasing. His hit single has made a presence here and abroad. 

Raz Kyng has 2 Hit singles titled “Move it Move it” and “Killing Shit,” which has broke #1 radio rankings In Japan over Drakes “Greece” on popular radio stations out there abroad. These 2 songs are just some of the diamond material waiting to be discovered on a Worldwide Platform. 

Virdiko Midwest Regional Dj Mr. 5th has played a crucial role in the Development of Raz Kyngz brand and industrial focus in the music career. 

Debuting in an upcoming Comedy/Drama web series on Netflix and RokuTv titled “EBONIZE ME,” playing as the character “Marcus Jackson,” in which the trailer will be dropping globally Oct of 2020 through Perfect Legacy Promotions. Also signing to a Separate Miniseries in Atlanta 4th Quarter of 2020, being featured with Keesha J Productions (WANDA from Miami Towing the show). 

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Be patient and trust the process and yourself remember the turtle wins the race!
