Meet Rami Feinstein of Akron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rami Feinstein

Hi Rami, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an Israeli singer-songwriter.
I have been performing with my band throughout Israel and the US for the past 20 years.

After releasing three Hebrew albums, I recently released my first album in English. My fans backed the production of my latest two albums through two successful crowdfunding efforts.

Having traveled extensively, I see my work as a way of connecting to and elevating the everyday experience of people everywhere.

I headlined a weekly segment on the Israeli Sport Channel’s popular morning show for 2 years, during which I wrote and sang a new weekly song that commented on current events.

Since 2022, I have been living in Akron, Ohio. I was fortunate to be adopted by The Summit FM radio station, and perform at various festivals. I also opened for Matisyahu at The GoodYear Theater. I feel lucky to have a following in Akron coming to my shows and to have the opportunity to initiate collaborations with various artists and different communities such as “A Concert Of Unity” Using music to bring people together.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a “smooth road” 🙂
My heart has been broken many times, many disappointments, many frustrations but also many amazing moments and a journey where I am always growing and always learning and making connections with amazing people- Making new friends all the time.
The challenge for me, is not to dwell on what you don’t have but to be grateful for what you do have. Yes, I have dreams that I have not yet fulfilled but I am also very happy with my path and my achievements.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a singer-songwriter, I strive first of all to be honest. I am looking to connect with people based on our shared experiences and thougts and beliefs.
Beeing an Israeli artist… my writing is very direct and upfront. I use only a few metaphors and I seek to be understandable, approachable and communicative. I’m close, in your face for better or for worse. I’m not looking to be cool, mysterious, or distant. I’m here to make friends and express myself the best way I know how.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
It’s better to fail and be true to yourself than to succeed while pretending to be someone else.
