Today we’d like to introduce you to Porscha Jones.
Hi Porscha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I founded P Sweet Treats in 2021. After sitting at home for a year and having a lot of free time, I brainstormed on ways to fill my time. When I was a child baking was NY passion. I baked a cake every Sunday for my family dinners. My dad is a chef and delighted the Sunday desserts to me. As I got older, I lost my passion as other interests sparked my attention.
In January 2021, I regained my passion for baking and created P Sweet Treats. I have an 8-year-old daughter named Gabrielle, who has deemed herself P Sweet Treats “Fondant Expert”. I am a military War Veteran. I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was born and raised in the Glenville Community. One of my biggest goals is to be able to give back to the community who made me into the woman I am today. Within the first year of business, I have been able to accomplish so much, but the best has yet to come!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Although I’ve baked items since a child, I never had to decorate cakes. When I was younger, decorated cakes were for weddings. Now people purchase decorated cakes for all life events. It’s been a process to find my way as a cake artist but I see a lot of growth from where I started one year ago. People ask me all the time “you’ve only been doing this for one year” in shock. I shock myself daily also.

P Sweet Treats Specialize in custom cakes, cupcakes, desserts, and party favors. Some of our most requested items are our strawberry crunch cupcakes and banana pudding cookies. I am most proud of the customer service given to every customer who contacts us. You are treated like family and experience customer service that we ourselves would like to receive. I am most proud of the boundaries I push myself past daily.
