Hi Norberto E, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey with bikes started out of necessity. Growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money, so a bike was my main way to get to school and work. I had to learn how to fix my own flats, adjust my brakes, and keep it running smoothly. What started as a necessity quickly became a real passion. I loved figuring out how things worked, and the feeling of satisfaction I got from fixing something myself was incredible.

Over the years, that passion just grew. I started working on friends’ bikes, then neighbors’ bikes. Along the way, I became good friends with Mason, my business partner. We shared this passion for bikes and a vision for providing excellent service, so we teamed up and started a simple home repair shop. We always felt like there was a gap in the industry – a need for a down-to-earth shop that serviced any bike and focused on keeping regular people up and running. That small venture gave us the experience and foundation to grow into the business we have today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey! Starting with limited resources forced us to be incredibly creative and resourceful. We had to find innovative ways to repair bikes, often repurposing old parts and coming up with unconventional solutions. We also had to be incredibly customer-focused, building trust through personalized service and honest communication. Even the build-out of our retail store presented an opportunity to get creative – we repurposed old furniture and reclaimed wood to create a unique atmosphere. Looking back, these challenges were invaluable learning experiences that shaped who we are today.

We house an indoor tropical plant store, adding an unexpected touch of greenery and tranquility to the space.
