Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Misenko.
Hi Miranda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with animals started early in life. I grew up on a small farm in Medina County, surrounded by a wide variety of animals—from dogs and cats to horses, poultry, pigs & various reptiles. That upbringing gave me a deep, hands-on understanding of animal behavior and care, and really sparked what became a lifelong passion.
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve continued building on that foundation through experience, education, and constant interaction with animals of all kinds. I’ve always had a strong instinct for reading animal body language and responding to their needs, whether it’s creating enrichment opportunities for a high-energy dog, supporting a timid rabbit, or providing dependable care for livestock.
One milestone that stands out was helping to pioneer the 4H dog agility program in Medina. That experience taught me the power of positive reinforcement and gave me valuable tools for working with dogs who benefit from structure and gentle guidance.
Eventually, I realized I wanted to turn my lifelong passion into something bigger—something personal. That’s how All Creatures Care was born. My goal has always been to offer personalized, high-quality pet care that goes beyond the basics. Every animal I care for is treated like family, with tailored routines that reflect their unique personality and needs.
Today, I’m proud to offer a range of services—from dog walking and pet sitting to in-home boarding and livestock care—all rooted in trust, compassion, and over two decades of hands-on experience.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most meaningful journeys, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. While my love for animals has always come naturally, turning that passion into a full-time business came with its share of challenges.
One of the biggest hurdles was stepping away from the security of traditional employment to build something entirely on my own. There’s a lot that goes into running a small business behind the scenes—from marketing and scheduling to paperwork and policies—and it took time to find the right balance between caring for animals and managing the business side of things.
Another challenge has been educating clients about the value of truly personalized pet care. In a world of quick drop-ins and app-based services, I’ve had to work hard to show why thoughtful, consistent, and relationship-based care makes such a difference—not just for pets, but for the peace of mind of their people.
There have also been emotional challenges. Working so closely with animals means forming strong bonds, and saying goodbye—whether it’s a pet moving away or one passing on—can be incredibly tough.
But every challenge has taught me something. It’s helped me refine my approach, grow my confidence, and build a business rooted in authenticity and trust. I wouldn’t trade the hard parts, because they’ve shaped me into the caregiver and business owner I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At All Creatures Care, I provide professional, personalized pet care services that go far beyond the basics. I specialize in dog walking, private in-home boarding, pet sitting, and livestock care—but what really sets my work apart is the individualized attention I give every animal.
Because of my upbringing on a farm and over 25 years of hands-on experience, I’m comfortable working with a wide range of animals. I have a strong ability to read animal body language, which allows me to adapt my approach to meet each pet’s unique temperament, needs, and comfort level.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the deep trust I build with both animals and their people. Whether I’m walking a reactive dog who needs extra patience or caring for a senior cat who just wants quiet companionship, I take time to truly understand what makes each animal feel safe, happy, and at ease. I also love offering enrichment-based walks and visits that support both mental and physical well-being.
Clients often tell me that what sets All Creatures Care apart is how I treat their pets like family. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—I create custom care plans that reflect each animal’s routine, personality, and preferences. I’m also pet first aid and CPR certified, which adds another layer of reassurance.
At the end of the day, I’m proud to offer a service that blends expertise, compassion, and a genuine love for animals. My goal is always to provide care that feels like an extension of the love you give at home.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is that trust is everything—with animals, with their people, and within myself.
Building trust takes time, consistency, and presence. Animals don’t care about credentials—they respond to your energy, your patience, and your ability to understand them. That’s taught me to slow down, listen closely, and meet each animal exactly where they are.
From the business side, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, especially when it comes to setting boundaries, choosing the right clients, and staying true to my values. Not every opportunity is the right fit, and learning to say no—while hard—has helped me protect the quality and integrity of my care.
At the heart of it all, this work has taught me that showing up with empathy, intention, and honesty makes all the difference. That’s the foundation I’ve built All Creatures Care on, and it continues to guide everything I do.
