Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Kimble.
Hi Maggie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I receivedmy license to do massage therapy in 2005 and started my business, massages by Maggie LLC. In 2007 I started my Reiki training. Adding this to my tool belt gave me a way to help folks who may not be open to getting a massage. By 2009 I had completed my Reiki,master teacher training and started teaching Reiki classes. I received my aromatherapy certification and started my second business, Willow Reiki, and aromatherapy with my privately branded line of products. I teach aromatherapy classes for groups and organizations, libraries and senior centers in the area as well as doing private home classes.One more thing in the tool belt that I could offer to help folks achieve maximum wellness. I also have my EFT certification and do private sessions, but also have taught that technique at some of the libraries in the area. Last but certainly not least I teach a series of life skills classes. These are an accumulation of the things that I’ve learned over the years that work towards personal and spiritual growth. The classes are typically about an hour long and I’ve taught them at senior centers and libraries and for private groups and organizations. I am semi retired from the massage therapy part of my business, but I’m still loving Reiki and aromatherapy and teach teaching these skills to others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a pretty smooth road. I love what I do and the people who need me seem to find me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Working in the health and wellness field, I get to really be involved in the life of my clients and students. Often times, a relationship is built that is ongoing. I especially love the teaching aspect and people really seem to click with me and learn things that help them to go forward and find their path and purpose.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Climbing the willow tree in my front yard, and sitting up there reading a book and watching the neighborhood.
