Meet Lindsey Stemann of Indigo Moon Curiosities

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Stemann.

Hi Lindsey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.

I have always been a spiritual individual (not religious, they are different) who was a rebel and a rule breaker at heart. Throughout my early childhood & young adult years, I struggled with fitting in, following the constructs of what society considered normal, and finding my purpose in this wild & crazy life.

In the fall of 2019, I hit a severe depression (the worst I’ve had in my life thus far) that led me to find a healthy way to cope through yoga. That was my church, my savior. From there, I started to embrace who I am and live as authentically as possible.

I dove deep into my studies and taught myself all different kinds of topics from crystals & meditation to chakras & tarot, etc. I formed a group in January of 2021 on FaceBook which was my outlet to be authentically me. I did free weekly tarot card pulls for those people in my group, and really started to trust and perfect my intuition. From there, the group developed into a business that I launched in the fall of 2021 called Indigo Moon Curiosities. I genuinely love helping people, and this path has led me to my true purpose, to be a spiritual teacher & healer in this lifetime. Now I offer a wide range of services such as personal tarot readings, tarot parties & events, as well as selling items like crystals, jewelry, altar supplies, and home décor.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The launching of my business came at a very chaotic time in my life. I was struggling with time management and wearing all the different hats of roles we play in this life. My husband broke his ankle and needed full-time care, a good friend of mine was living with us while working out some personal issues, I was working for our friend’s new restaurant helping them out as they were getting started, and in-between full-time jobs as a contract-based worker. I was so scared to take that leap of faith and invest thousands of dollars of my own money upfront on something I didn’t know people would be interested in other than myself. Juggling time between all of those things in my personal life and starting a new business was a struggle, but also an outlet for “me time”. It taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you can always find a way to survive as long as you take time for yourself and focus that energy on what you DO want. Lessons I’ve learned along the way would be to slow down, ask for help, delegate the workload, don’t sweat the small stuff, and as a wise friend of mine once said “ridding yourself of what you don’t want allows the space and time for what you do want”.

My business was founded on the idea of getting spiritual tools to people who truly needed them most in whatever form that came. I built my client base and trust on tarot and oracle readings, then started offering other products to aid them along their journey. I want my clients to understand that every product I offer is not by mistake. It is all intuitively selected and curated for those looking for spiritual growth and recovery. I am proud to say that we offer items that are all handcrafted from around the world. We try our best to source things at a fair trade and make personal connections with our suppliers. We are known for going above and beyond for our clients and friends. We take special requests and source items that our clients have a hard time finding on their own. We offer shipping, pick-up, and home delivery (within 50 miles) of our base location. We take customer service very seriously as our clients are the reason we are able to do what we do today. That’s what sets us apart from others.
