Meet Lance B of L.B’s Golden Fried Fish N’Chicken

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lance B. 

Hi Lance, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
What started as a popular social media picture post of a fish dinner prepared for a fundraiser to fund my Daughter’s AAU travel basketball fees has now turned into a new business venture. After years of trial and error, having Popup events for close family and friends. I invested my time learning the ins and outs of the culinary world, studying some of the best in the business, taking test to being (Safe Serve) certified by the board of health, getting licensed to do business in the State, getting liability insurance, operating out of a licensed commercial kitchen, purchasing a full-size food truck and now being Blessed with the opportunity to offer some good eats with the masses! This is only the beginning of a new chapter! Still a lot of work to be done and more to learn, and I appreciate all of the Love and support from everyone that has genuinely showed it throughout the years! 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the biggest challenges along the way were finding consistent, motivated helpers. Without my family helping me get started, no one would know about it today. As the business grew in popularity, more help was needed to complete operations, and I was motivated to dedicate myself and looked at it as a top priority, but unfortunately, everyone didn’t have the same passion…

We offer fresh, “never frozen“ fish and chicken, delicious soulful sides, and mouthwatering desserts! We’re known for our delicious homemade-style food. We offer catering and food truck private parties/events. We look forward to feeding you soon. 

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The restaurant/food truck industry has grown a lot in the past years and is continuing to grow. I see the mobile food business expanding even more as the city grows.
