Meet Katie Rogerson of Photoplay Photo Booth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Rogerson. 

Hi Katie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! I’m Katie. I have been in the photo booth industry for about two years and the wedding industry for five. I started helping a childhood friend with wedding photography and fell in love with it! It was great to spend the weekends with one of my best friends all while celebrating love. 

Almost every wedding we attended, there was a photo booth. I was like, “Hey, why don’t I just buy one and we can bundle packages.” So, I did. And, now I have five! 

I bought my first photo booth right before the pandemic. So, as you could imagine, I had a lot of cancellations in 2020. But that year gave me a lot of time to really learn my equipment and become very familiar with it. Now, we service over 200 events a year! 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has truly been a smooth road for me. I credit that to being in quarantine and giving me so much time to spend working on my business plan and learning my software and equipment inside and out. 

We’ve been impressed with Photoplay Photo Booth, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We offer modern, open-air photo booths.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
We spend a lot of time in Cleveland, OH with our photo booths. The city has a lot of history and beautiful historic architecture. The food and drink scene is phenomenal. People are friendly and nature is easily accessible. Oh, and we love football. Go Browns!
