Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaitlyn Brooks.
Hi Kaitlyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, chiropractic was always part of my life because my dad is a chiropractor. Ironically, I never planned on following in his footsteps! At the time, I had actually applied to dental school, but ultimately decided that wasn’t the path for me. After withdrawing my application, I found myself completely unsure of what direction I wanted to take. So one evening over dinner, my dad suggested I take a look at chiropractic. We visited Life University together. I fell in love with the philosophy, the atmosphere, and the idea of helping people heal naturally. I submitted my application just one week later, and before I knew it, I was packing my bags and moving to Georgia to start an adventure that would completely change my life.
Four years later, I graduated from Life University with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and today I have the privilege of serving as the Clinic Director of our multidisciplinary practice. As a full-spine practitioner, I get to do what I love every day—helping people move better, feel better, and get back to doing the things they enjoy. Chiropractic is certainly not an easy profession; it challenges me daily to learn, grow, and think creatively. But it is also one of the most rewarding careers I could imagine. Seeing patients reach milestones they once thought were impossible, watching their confidence return, and being part of their health journey makes every long day worth it. Looking back, I am so grateful my dad encouraged me to explore chiropractic, because what started as a simple school visit turned into a career that I truly love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! But then again, nothing worth having ever comes easy, does it? Haha. Some of the biggest challenges came from learning an entirely new skill set, stepping outside of my comfort zone, and finding confidence in myself as both a doctor and a leader. Chiropractic school was demanding, and there were plenty of moments where I questioned whether I was capable of handling everything that was being asked of me. After graduation, the challenges didn’t stop—they simply changed. Learning how to communicate effectively with patients, make clinical decisions, manage a team, and take on leadership responsibilities all came with a steep learning curve. Perhaps the greatest challenge of all has been learning to bet on myself. Taking chances, trusting my instincts, and believing that I could build a successful career required a level of confidence that didn’t happen overnight. Looking back, every obstacle taught me something valuable, and those struggles played a huge role in shaping the doctor and person I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and currently serve as the Clinic Director of a multidisciplinary healthcare practice. At my core, I am fascinated by the incredible design of the human body and its innate ability to heal, adapt, and thrive. What drew me to chiropractic, and what continues to inspire me every day, is the understanding that the body is a self-healing organism. When the nervous system is functioning properly and interference is removed, the body has an amazing capacity to recover and perform the way it was designed to.
I specialize in helping patients overcome pain, recover from injuries, and improve their overall function through chiropractic care and movement-based rehabilitation. Whether someone is dealing with chronic back pain, headaches, sciatica, a workplace injury, or injuries from a motor vehicle accident, my goal is always the same: restore proper function to the body so it can do what it was created to do—heal itself.
What I am most proud of is helping patients realize that their bodies are far more resilient and capable than they often believe. Some of my favorite moments are when a patient who felt defeated, limited, or discouraged begins to regain confidence in their body again. Watching someone return to work, exercise, play with their children, or simply enjoy daily life without fear is incredibly rewarding.
I believe what sets me apart is my philosophy that healthcare should be about more than chasing symptoms. I strive to educate my patients about how their bodies work, why they are experiencing certain problems, and what they can do to support their recovery. I am passionate about helping people understand that healing is not something that comes from me—it comes from within them. My role is to identify dysfunction, reduce interference within the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and create an environment where the body can function at its highest potential.
Every day I am reminded of how remarkable the human body truly is. The more I practice, the more I appreciate that when we respect the body’s design and support its natural processes, extraordinary things can happen. That belief continues to drive my passion for chiropractic and the care I provide to every patient who walks through our doors.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve been fortunate to have parents who supported me, a father who introduced me to chiropractic when I was unsure of my path, and mentors who helped guide me along the way. Those opportunities were forms of good luck that I don’t take for granted.
At the same time, I’ve learned that what often looks like “luck” from the outside is usually the result of being willing to take chances, work hard, and stay open to opportunities when they appear. Moving to Georgia for chiropractic school, pursuing a career that was unfamiliar to me, and stepping into leadership roles all required faith and a willingness to bet on myself.
Of course, there have been moments of bad luck too—unexpected setbacks, difficult patients, business challenges, and plans that didn’t work out the way I envisioned. But some of those experiences ended up teaching me the most valuable lessons and ultimately led me in a better direction.
The biggest opportunities in my life came from being prepared to act when those moments presented themselves.
