Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Walters.
Hi Julia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello! My name is Julia Walters, proud owner of Ever After Entertainment! I’m a 21-year old entrepreneur, student, performer, educator, and LOVER of making magic for little ones and their families!
I started Ever After Entertainment in January of 2025 (we celebrated our first birthday!) with a team of 5 performers from Wright State University’s BFA Musical Theatre and Acting programs. Our team was hand-selected based on look, vocal identity, experience working, teaching, and growing young minds… truly the greatest group of women.
The creation of each character on our roster begins with meticulous background work– hours go into sourcing high quality costumes, wigs, and accessories from suppliers locally and across the world. Then, a detailed training document is devised after hours of rewatching films, tv series, and other media. Physicality is observed and recorded, along with approved photo poses, makeup looks, answers to difficult questions, party programming, conversation topics….
Character entertainment is one of the most fragile and important industries– it’s our responsibility to uphold belief in magic for ALL ages!
Since then, we’ve expanded to over 20 characters– each with their own hand-selected performers, beautiful costumes, and the love of bringing magic to life!
Outside of city events, private parties, and other magical moments, we are proud of our volunteerism that brings families, communities, and teams together! We are partnered with the Ronald Mcdonald House of Dayton to bring character entertainment to their guests quarterly, and have volunteered with RMHC Cincinnati, Diabetes Dayton’s Camp Komanche, and brought a Sensory Friendly Princess Experience to life with Caterpillars to Butterflies!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a student, balancing my company, BFA, and professional performances have been the most challenging and rewarding gift of my life. Attending meetings and answering emails from 8a-10a, class from 10a-5p, and rehearsals from 6pm-10p leave only so much room for sleep. But the joy of seeing a birthday child’s face light up at the end of the week makes it all worth it!
We’ve been impressed with Ever After Entertainment, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what sets us apart is our team. All of our performers are trained, professional musical theatre performers from all over the country. You’ve seen many performing locally with The Human Race, TheatreLab Dayton, the Dayton Opera! Not only that, but I’m dedicated to working with performers with passion and experience working with young minds. We teach theatre, dance, voice, creative movement, art… when we’re not making magic in a gown or a cape, it’s in the studio and in classrooms.

I’ve been so blessed to learn from the most incredible entrepreneurs and humans in the Miami Valley, and I’m thankful to all the BBB, WiBN, and so many incredible women who have mentored me.
