Today we’d like to introduce you to Joni Mosby
Hi Joni, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my company in October of 2022 as a transportation business driving Ohio State students to and from the airport. As I engaged with the students and parents, it became evident that there was a need for a “mom concierge” type service. I allowed the business to grow as opportunites presented themselves and added services like transportation to urgent care/emergency room, grocery delivery, laundry, birthday deliveries, and moving/storage services. The business has grown in all areas over the last 18 months. As I personally engage with parents it has become evident that there is no other service like ours and we have provided peace of mind for many out of state families.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My business is unique, so navigating the day to day logistics has been challenging. Managing airport pick ups, doctor appointments, deliveries, and a very busy laundry service has been demanding! Also, after a 25 year career as an Exercise Physiologist, I’m now learning how to be a businesswoman! I am thankful for an amazingly supportive husband who helps fill in some of the gaps for me! I have quickly learned about commercial business insurance, LLCs, accounting, etc! But, I would say the most challenging part for me has been finding the right people to add to my team. I keep my circle small and expectations high. I feel very strongly about the thoughtful and responsive care we take of our students, so making sure that my team has the same passion is of utmost importance.

Just Call Joni provides loving, thoughtful, and responsive care of college students and families. Just Call Joni is an all-encompassing concierge service dedicated to meeting the needs of every student.
We are here to help students and their families with anything they need. Services range from airport shuttles, packing and moving to laundry, birthday deliveries, grocery trips, and urgent care runs. Services are “a la carte” so there is no membership fee. Just choose the services you need. Literally, Just Call Joni!
I am most proud of the relationships we have created with our students and families. I love that parents feel comfortable calling me with any and all questions and concerns. I love to problem solve and quickly take care of their needs. Some examples are picking up a student with a flat bike tire and jumping a dead car battery.
Any big plans?
My plans are to continue to grow the business! I would love to develop relationships with as many colleges as I can and offer our services on other campuses!
