Meet Jeidy Soto of JS Latin photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeidy Soto.

Hi Jeidy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for photography began in 2015 while I was in college. A few years later, in 2018, while I was studying TV and Radio Broadcasting, I decided to invest in my first camera and finally pursue something I truly loved. I started by photographing family and friends, using those early sessions to practice, learn, and develop my style.

About a year later, as my skills improved and more people began asking me to photograph their special moments, I officially launched my photography business. What started as a passion project gradually grew into a professional career.

Today, eight years later, I specialize in weddings, Sweet 16 celebrations, graduations, and individual portrait sessions. I also offer flying dress photoshoots, which have become very popular in many countries and allow me to create unique, elegant, and empowering images for my clients.

Through my work, I aim to make a positive impact, especially within the Latino and Christian communities. Photography allows me to capture meaningful milestones in people’s lives and preserve memories that will last for generations. I’m truly grateful to God for every opportunity and every door He has opened along this journey.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and creatives, I’ve faced different challenges along the way. When I first started, one of the biggest struggles was building confidence in my work and learning how to run a business, not just take good photos. Photography requires constant learning, investing in equipment, and improving your craft.

Another challenge today is the level of competition in the industry. Photography has become very popular, and many people now consider themselves photographers, which makes the market very competitive. Standing out requires dedication, consistency, and continuing to grow creatively and professionally.

There have also been moments of doubt, slow seasons, and the pressure of balancing creativity with the business side of things. However, those challenges have helped me grow, become more resilient, and stay focused on my purpose.

Through it all, my faith has been a big part of my journey. I trust that every opportunity and every door that has opened has been guided by God, and that keeps me motivated to continue moving forward.

We’ve been impressed with JS Latin photography , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
JS Latin Photography is a photography brand dedicated to capturing meaningful moments and telling people’s stories through powerful and elegant imagery. My business focuses on creating memorable experiences for clients while delivering high-quality photographs that they can cherish for a lifetime.

I specialize in wedding photography, Sweet 16 celebrations, graduations, and individual portrait sessions. I am also known for offering flying dress photoshoots, which create a unique and dramatic look that many clients love. These sessions allow people to feel confident, elegant, and celebrated in a very special way.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is capturing meaningful moments in people’s lives. Seeing the joy and emotions in my clients when they receive their photos reminds me why I started. It’s fulfilling to know that through my work I can preserve memories that families will cherish for generations.
