Meet Heidi Reardon of Chagrin Falls

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heidi Reardon.

Hi Heidi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been a photographer for over 35 years, and what started as a creative passion slowly grew into something much more meaningful. Early on, I was drawn to capturing people in a way that felt real—images that weren’t just taken, but experienced. Over time, that became the foundation of my business.
The name Noah Blue Photography carries a deeper meaning for me. After losing a baby between our sons, we were surrounded by blue hydrangeas, and my mom always called that color “Noah Blue.” That moment—and my faith—shaped how I see the work I do. It’s a daily reminder to honor what matters, to live with purpose, and to help others hold onto the moments that go by too quickly.
I built Noah Blue Photography around the idea that photography should feel personal and guided, not overwhelming. Today, I specialize in senior portraits, families, and branding, with a strong focus on creating what I call “Senior Portrait Adventures.” It’s a full experience—from planning locations and styling to helping clients choose how they want to enjoy their images in their homes. I’ve always believed photographs shouldn’t just live on a screen—they should be seen, felt, and become part of a family’s story.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph well-known artists like U2, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, and Elton John, along with figures such as Margaret Thatcher and President George H. W. Bush. Those experiences were incredible, but the truth is, the people of Chagrin Falls are my real celebrities. Capturing their stories, their families, and these once-in-a-lifetime seasons is what matters most to me.
Like many entrepreneurs, my path hasn’t been perfectly linear. I’ve raised three boys alongside building my business, and that season of life shaped how I work with families and seniors today. I understand how quickly these moments pass, which makes what I do feel even more important.
Recently, I’ve also stepped into a new chapter by opening Tailored Tails of Chagrin, a dog grooming business. It might seem like a pivot, but it really comes from the same place—creating experiences that feel thoughtful, personal, and a little elevated. Whether it’s photography or caring for someone’s pet, I’ve found that people remember how you made them feel.
Looking back, my journey has been about more than just building businesses—it’s been about creating connection, trusting my instincts, leaning on my faith, and continuing to evolve while staying rooted in what matters most.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like many creative entrepreneurs, there were seasons early on where I questioned my value and struggled with charging what my work was truly worth. I think that’s especially common in this industry—you start out just grateful for the opportunity, and it takes time and confidence to step into the business side of it.
There were also times when people didn’t fully understand what I did. Because it’s not a traditional 9-to-5 job, photography can be seen as more of a hobby than a real business. But behind the scenes, it requires a tremendous amount of time, planning, creativity, and emotional investment. Building something sustainable meant learning to take myself seriously first—so others would too.
Balancing family and business was another challenge. Raising three boys while growing a business required flexibility, sacrifice, and a lot of faith. There were seasons that stretched me, but they also shaped how I show up for my clients today.
Taking risks has been a big part of my journey as well—whether it was raising my prices, shifting my business model, or opening a brick-and-mortar space. Those decisions can feel uncomfortable, but they’re often what lead to the most growth.
Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They pushed me to refine not just my work, but my mindset—helping me build a business that reflects both my experience and the value I bring to the people I serve.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Noah Blue Photography, I specialize in senior portraits, families, and branding, with a strong focus on what I call “Senior Portrait Adventures.” These aren’t one-size-fits-all sessions—everything is customized, so it feels like them, not like something pulled from a template.
I’m known for the experience. Clients often tell me, “You made my senior feel like a million bucks” or “My son didn’t even want pictures, but he was so relaxed with you.” I hear how easy it felt and how they saw their child unfold in front of the camera. I guide them from start to finish—planning, shooting, and helping them choose how their images live in their homes. I am not handing over files and calling it done.
My favorite part is making everyday people feel incredible. After 35 years, I know how to create a relaxed environment and bring out something real. It’s not just about how it looks—it’s about how it feels.
What I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built. Clients come back over the years and refer others, and that trust means the world to me.

In the grooming salon, Tailored Tails of Chagrin -At Tailored Tails of Chagrin, we offer a calm, one-on-one grooming experience designed around each dog’s comfort and personality. We specialize in a more thoughtful, boutique approach—no crowded rooms, no chaos—just a quieter, more personalized environment where dogs can feel safe and cared for.
We’re known for taking our time and truly seeing each dog as an individual. From our “Meet & Treat” introductions for new clients to the way we handle each appointment, everything is designed to build trust and create a positive experience. Whether it’s a puppy’s first groom, a nervous dog who needs extra patience, or a well-loved family pet, we focus on making grooming something they can feel good about—not fear.
Our team brings a high level of professionalism and care, with certifications including AKC, Fear Free, and dog massage. That training allows us to better understand behavior, reduce stress, and handle each dog with intention and skill.
What I’m most proud of is creating a space that feels different the moment you walk in. It’s not just about grooming—it’s about connection, trust, and a genuine love for what we do.
What sets us apart is that we’re intentionally not high-volume. We don’t rush dogs through. We’ve created a more elevated, peaceful experience, paired with thoughtful details and unique retail items that reflect the charm of Chagrin Falls. It’s grooming, done with heart, expertise, and a higher level of care.

How do you think about luck?
I’m not sure I’ve ever believed in luck in the traditional sense. For me, it’s always been more about faith, trusting the path, and continuing to grow. I believe when you stay open and keep moving forward, the right opportunities present themselves.
That said, I’ve had moments that others might call “luck.” Finding the studio space I’m in now was one of them—it just felt aligned from the start. The same goes for Tailored Tails of Chagrin. The space became available at the right time, and I realized there wasn’t a groomer right in the village—even though we’re surrounded by dogs everywhere. It felt like something I was meant to step into.
I do believe we create our own momentum by being willing to grow and take risks. When you combine that with faith and paying attention to what’s in front of you, doors tend to open.
And honestly, I feel lucky every day to do what I do—working with incredible families and then walking upstairs and seeing all the dogs at Tailored Tails. It’s a pretty special combination.
