Meet Elijah Payne of Columbus OH

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elijah Payne

Hi Elijah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I, Elijah Payne, graduated from Olentangy Orange High School in the year 2020 during the pandemic. The entire lockdown completely changed the trajectory of what I had envisioned for my life, where I thought I wanted to go to school to become a teacher a sudden shift in ambition emerged. I wanted to become an actor! I soon dropped out of Kent State University and began my training in acting in between various jobs. It started with simple Instagram skits that I created then YouTube where I continued making skits. By the start of 2024 I was ready to start auditioning for roles and I did. Securing my first lead role in a feature film, getting on set of a high budget feature film and getting roles in theatre plays. I hope to continue to follow my dreams and passion bringing joy to everyone and those who can’t bring joy to themselves!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not be by any means. I’d say one of the biggest struggles are the friends and family that you lose when striving for a different life. Also all the hard work that goes into “different” you have to change your habits the good and the bad in order for them to correlate to the person you see yourself as at the end of the road, you have to take as many right/correct steps to get there no matter how difficult they may seem.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an Actor. I have yet to make myself a household name but as of now I create my own shorts and skits on my YouTube page as well as act in various performances, Movies, skits, plays, shorts. I’d say what I’m most proud of is jumping/taking that first step when I’m most fearful chasing my dreams even when I’m scared to do so, I’m very proud of. I’ve heard from more people than I can remember that there’s something about me that’s different from people my age, I’m certain it’s my Ambition.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I really love music, for some reason music speaks to my soul in a different way than most. All genres have something great to offer!
