Meet Dr. Umona Sharp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Umona L. Sharp.

Hi Dr. Sharp, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2012, I started working in Hamilton, Ohio as a Case Manager and later promoted as an Opiate Outreach Coordinator for Butler County.

In 2018, I decided to further my education to become a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. I enjoyed helping individuals who dealt with addictions by providing them with the tools to overcome their struggles.

In 2020, I pursued my license as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and was promoted within the agency.

In 2021, I decided to take what I’ve learned by opening my own business called Stay Free Ministries, LLC. Stay Free Ministries is a confidential multi-discipline program designed to help bring inner healing and peace to the hurting. The program offers Christian counseling, life coaching, support groups, seminars, workshops, retreats, and prayer.

We specialize in anxiety, depression, faith issues, grief and loss, marital issues, trauma, sexual abuse, and substance abuse. We use biblical principles as our guide and the Holy Spirit as our helper to provide wise counsel to clients who seek healing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a new business, it can take a while to be recognized.

I’m affiliated with the National Christian Counseling Association as a Pastoral Christian Counselor. I’m licensed and ordained by Stay Free Today, Inc and The Turning Pointe Outreach Ministries, LLC as a Minister and Pastoral Counselor.
