Meet Danielle Housel of 440 Lash and Beauty Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Housel.

Hi Danielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a love for the beauty industry- specifically eyelashes. I tried college and it wasn’t for me. I spent my first 8 years of being in the work force as a manager at McDonalds. At about 23 years old I made a career change to a loan company but eventually the company closed. That was my sign to finally take the opportunity to go to school for what I always dreamed of doing.

I got my Esthetician license in 2019 and at the time, I had a great mentor who helped me get to where I am today. She taught me many things about this business and my craft. I was driving to Mentor, Ohio everyday, working endless hours, devoted to my very loyal clients and absorbing every bit of knowledge I could. Soon I was ready for the next step in my career. My hometown of Ashtabula Ohio is very close to my heart and I wanted to offer our community somewhere with quality products and esthetic services. This was always the goal because we don’t have services like this in town!
March of 2023 came around and I finally took a leap of faith. It has been the most incredible experience and I am so blessed!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road- what many people don’t realize is in order to be successful in this industry you have to sacrifice a lot and sacrificed time with my friends and family because it does require working nights and weekends to gain a clientele. Building a clientele can take a long time you have to be reliable and good at what you do. Another challenge I faced was believing in myself to take the leap and go on my own. It was heartbreaking to leave clients behind and very scary.

We’ve been impressed with 440 Lash and Beauty Studio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

We offer all things lashes, brows, and skincare specializing in lash extensions.

We pride ourselves on keeping the health and integrity of the natural lash our priority.

High quality products and education are important to us!! We use well known brands for services and have retail products available as well.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Cheerleading with friends, motorcycle rides with Dad, Shopping with Mom
