Meet Christina Holloway of Simply You

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Holloway.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started Simply You in 2016 which was a vision I had as a child to own a beauty salon. Although I’m still a natural nail salon I’m grateful to be where I am today. This vision started in someone else salon but then I stepped out on faith and found my own small yet unique space in an office building. I’ve been there for 4 years and I’m proud of myself because as a single mom I’ve accomplished this goal with all the other stuff on my hands and even in the midst of COVID I am surviving. I’m here because I’ve stayed focused, determined and motivated but enjoying what I do which my passion natural nails. I’ve added my clothing brand “be Simply You” because that’s all it was just that being simply me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t been smooth but I’m elated to be here and I can say that the road gets smooth at times. One of the biggest struggles has been time, energy, finances. I’ve stood the test of prejudice from clients my landlords and even tenants in the building but I’ve learned how to understand that this too shall pass with prayer & faith.

My business is Simply You Salon ( LLC) I’m a one-woman salon with the focus of natural hands & feet with enhancing with color (polish). I specialize in keeping the natural hands & feet naturally healthy without harsh chemicals or abrasive techniques. I’m known for my scented body salve/cream and various care of diabetic, wound and amputees hands & foot care whether it’s a pedicure, clippings or the purchase of body cream with my medical background I’ve learned this is what sets me apart from others. My brand has grown and now adding “be Simply You” which includes tee shirts, socks, plus more clothing and items that have my quotes and logo. My brand is self-explanatory “Simply You” & “be simply you”offers that feel good about you. We have all are clothing online as well online booking for manicures or pedicures.

What makes you happy?
Keeping God first in my life makes me happy but also life because I’m able to see my accomplishments as I grow during the process I’m elated.
