Hi Candice , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Salty with a passion for natural wellness and creating a space where people could truly relax, heal, and breathe easier. What began as an idea to bring the benefits of salt therapy to our community has grown into a wellness space offering services focused on relaxation, respiratory support, and self-care. Over the years, we’ve continued to evolve by adding new experiences, hosting community events, and creating a welcoming environment where people of all ages can unplug and focus on their well-being.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all—it’s been a very real, sometimes bumpy road.

Like most small business owners, there have been financial ups and downs, unexpected maintenance and equipment challenges, and the constant pressure of keeping everything running while still growing. Educating people about salt therapy and helping them understand its benefits has also taken time and consistency.

Balancing business ownership with life outside of work has probably been the biggest ongoing challenge—but each struggle has also pushed me to adapt, learn, and keep improving what we offer.

What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is creating a life and business that feels balanced, meaningful, and sustainable. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about the impact I make on people’s health and well-being, building a space where others feel better when they leave than when they arrived, and still having time and energy for my family and myself. It’s growth, stability, and purpose all working together.
