Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Schuller Amplified Digital Entertainment.
Hi Bill Schuller , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
A DJ friend (Tommy) invited me to a backyard party with friends & family. He had to rush out and asked me to fill in and play music.
I liked entertaining his friends & family so when I moved from the Toledo area to Dayton I decided to get more experience by shadowing another DJ friend of my wife’s in the area.
From here I purchased equipment and started dj-ing parties & dances followed by weddings. The first year I started out with 13 weddings & events, then progressively started doing more and more weddings every year. We now do over 100 weddings in a year have 6 DJ’s.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My first year I struggled with a form of social anxiety. I’m not a big center of attention kind of person. I’m not normally an extrovert so it was difficult to do announcements and put myself out there.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We provide all of the same services that other DJ’s offer in addition to photo-booth. However, we take it up a notch by providing a more customized or personalized experience for our clients.
We do this by incorporating a theme or a little bit of the likes or history of our clients in the wedding. Depending on what package item they choose.
For example for a photo-booth we’ll do a custom strip or an animated monogram we will find out more info about the couple and customize there monogram creation with this.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
The DJ will make or break your wedding. This is one of the most important aspects of your wedding outside of the venue and food.
The DJ determines the overall experience of you and your guests. From the flow of events to announcements being heard and directing attention for each event. Moreover, the type of music leading up to dancing as well as reading the dance floor to get people dancing.
My passion stems from personal experience. My wife and I got married at the justice of peace because we couldn’t afford an elaborate wedding. Being able to provide this special day to a couple is what drives us to exceed there expectations.
