Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben Kosewski.
Hi Ben, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up running heavy machinery (excavators, bull dozers, loaders, etc.) so I understood the importance of a solid foundation. Upon graduating from Lakeland University and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, I I gained hands-on experience as a care provider with a health system in Green Bay, WI. Moving on from there, I traveled the country working with hospitals in Seattle, Maryland and in Ohio, where I worked on clinical operations, patient services, and care coordination — learning how systems run and where patients most often fall through the cracks. That experience made me want to work closer to the community, so I moved into a role at Lorain County Health & Dentistry to focus on integrated, patient-centered care. Here I apply lessons from larger systems to streamline access to medical, dental, and behavioral services, strengthen community partnerships, and improve care for underserved populations. My work is driven by a simple goal: remove barriers so people get the preventive care and coordinated support they need.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Is the road traveled ever smooth? No! I wouldn’t change a thing though. The lessons learned have been invaluable in growing in my career and looking for opportunities to help the community.
As you know, we’re big fans of Lorain County Health & Dentistry. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have many mentors through my life; my dad showed me what hard work and taking risks looked like as he started his own construction business. I also had Robyn La Fleur, who taught me how to be a great leader, how to be a mentor to those around you, and utilizing your passion for the better.
