Hi April, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have been working in the nightclub industry for a little over 14 years. While places were shut down during Covid, I had many customers reaching out to me to help with small events. Currently, I’ve been running my business for 3 years, primarily booking birthday parties, corporate events & weddings.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far, it’s been a pretty smooth ride. I will say that working as a bar manager & completing the MORTAR entrepreneurship program gave me an amazing foundation. I was able to think ahead through processes, solidify a business plan & set my goals. The most difficult part for me has been keeping up with social media & content.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Boozi Babe. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a mixologist. I specialize in providing professional, bartenders to staff events.

What sets us apart is while we know we are dealing with alcohol, our goal is to make to events memorable & safe.

I want readers to know that while professional bartending services is my specialty, I also help new bars and establishments get set up & running.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see myself going more towards consulting while being able to staff larger events on a more regular basis.
