Today we’d like to introduce you to Alison Perez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
A few years ago, around three years ago, the term “life coaching” was brought to my attention during a conversation with my sister-in-law. At the time, I honestly didn’t know much about it, so it prompted me to start researching what life coaching actually was. The more I looked into it, the more interested I became because I realized it wasn’t therapy, but rather helping people recognize the truth about themselves, overcome limiting beliefs, and move toward the life they truly desire.
What stood out to me the most is how often fear, self-doubt, and negative thinking stop people from pursuing purpose and growth. We tend to believe things like “I can’t do this” or “I don’t know how,” but I believe fear keeps many people stuck. One thing that has always stayed with me is understanding that we can learn, grow, and develop if we are willing to move forward despite uncertainty.
That curiosity led me to enroll in a faith-based life coaching academy, where I received training that was both structured and impactful. During that process, I realized I didn’t have everything figured out, but I knew I was passionate about helping people grow, heal, and see themselves differently.
As I continued learning, I began applying what I studied not only in my own life, but also in my parenting and interactions with others. That journey naturally led me to begin studying psychology, mental health, emotional regulation, and effective parenting more deeply.
Today, I am also an author, and my mission is centered around helping people—especially mothers and families—heal, grow emotionally, and live with greater purpose and self-awareness. This journey continues to evolve, and I know there is still more ahead for me, but this is truly where it all began.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like anything in life, there have been ups and downs, challenges, uncertainty, and moments of discouragement. One of the biggest things I’ve had to learn throughout this journey is that not everyone will support or understand your vision, and learning to be okay with that has been difficult at times.
This journey has pushed me to rely on God more deeply to trust His word, His promises, and His direction even when things feel uncertain. I truly believe He is my teacher, my guide, and the source that provides the resources, wisdom, and strength I need.
Another struggle I’ve faced is discouragement and learning how to encourage myself through difficult seasons. There have been moments where I wished I had someone physically present to pour back into me when I felt low or overwhelmed. While I’m grateful for the people who have encouraged me along the way, I’ve realized that ultimately, the Lord has been the one consistently strengthening and sustaining me.
Looking back, I believe the obstacles and the “bumpy road” have all been part of a season that is teaching me deeper trust, faith, resilience, and dependence on God. Even through the challenges, I know there is purpose in the process.
We’ve been impressed with ALISON PEREZ LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
ALISON PEREZ LLC is a faith-based personal development and coaching brand centered around emotional healing, growth, self-awareness, parenting, and encouragement. My mission is to help people heal emotionally and mentally while also strengthening their faith, confidence, and understanding of themselves.
What makes my brand different is that it comes from real-life experience. I’m not speaking from perfection I’m speaking from lived experiences, motherhood, personal struggles, growth, healing, and continuous learning. I’ve spent years studying emotional regulation, psychology, mental health, and parenting, while also applying those lessons within my own life and family.
I am also an author and recently published a healing workbook focused on restoration, renewal, and rebuilding yourself emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. My goal is to create safe spaces where people feel seen, encouraged, understood, and empowered to grow.
Although much of my work naturally connects with mothers and women, my heart is also to support fathers, men, and families as a whole. I believe fathers need encouragement, emotional support, guidance, and safe spaces too. I want people to know that healing, emotional growth, and learning how to communicate in healthy ways is important for everyone, men, women, parents, and children alike.
What I’m most proud of is building something with genuine purpose. Everything I create is meant to positively impact people, encourage healing, strengthen families, and help others recognize their value, purpose, and ability to grow.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
One thing I appreciate most about our city is the people and the sense of resilience within the community. There are so many individuals with talent, creativity, purpose, and potential who are trying to build better lives for themselves and their families. I also appreciate the growing conversations around mental health, healing, personal growth, and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. I believe there are many people here who genuinely want to make a positive impact.
What I like least is seeing how many people are struggling emotionally, mentally, and financially without enough support, guidance, or encouragement. I think many individuals feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode. I would love to see more safe spaces, resources, mentorship, and opportunities that help people heal, grow, and believe in themselves and their future.
