Meet Adela Dan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adela Dan. 

Hi Adela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Adela Dan, owner, and photographer at Adela Dan Photography, LLC. I am a Cleveland-based photographer, born & raised in Romania. 

My passion for photography started very early in my teen years when I started modeling. I always enjoyed being in front of the camera and also had a curiosity of what it would be like to be behind the camera… to be the director, the creator, the artist with the magic eye. 

2020 is the year I started my serious attempt at photography while I became a stay-home-mom. I was ready to make my dream a reality. 

I approach each session with attention, creativity, passion, and love. I like to create emotional art that leaves people inspired. In each photograph I take I find a reflection of myself, and there’s no surprise that photography is the love of my life! 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a small business is never a smooth road. Being a professional photographer is not just snapping photos, collecting money, and spending that money on anything I want. 

There are lots and lots of expenses with equipment, cameras, lenses, softwares for professional editing, and much more. 

There are also hours and hours of editing behind the scenes. Hours that take time from my family at home. 

As a photographer, my job doesn’t consists just of taking photos and editing. The biggest challenging process of activities are – brainstorming, visualization of a form and creation, fundraising, and the implementation of it all. I always try to keep each session creative and interesting when creating art. 

Competition is also tough to face in the industry. There are so many amazing and talented photographers in the Cleveland area! I admire so much talent.

What sets me apart from other photographers? Easy, just take a look at my portfolio and see for yourself. Creativity and imagination. 

I always try to keep each session interesting and creative. With each different locations, props, and poses I turn people into art. The final results always make me proud of my work. 

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Fun fact about me not everybody knows: I have 10+ years of modeling experience. In 2008 I was crowned Miss Romania United States (Adela Fulea)
