Today we’d like to introduce you to Lysa Stanton.

Hi Lysa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been the President of the Westlake Historical Society for the past 16 years.
It has been my honor to share the rich history of Westlake.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The beauty and the challenges of sharing the history of any community is helping to get the word out about the history and the work of our non profit organization.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been the President of the Westlake Historical Society for 16 years. Although it is a volunteer position I have enjoyed educating and sharing the history of this city.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Continue to share and educate the community about the importance and value of their history.
