Hi Liz, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Liz, I’m 23 years old & I was born & raised in Columbus, Ohio! I am the herbalist, cosmetic formulator and owner of AuraPure Essentials, a local apothecary here in Columbus!
AuraPure is a holistic, eco-friendly herbal apothecary that I created in May of 2020 as a way to express my passion for natural, simple & non-toxic beauty and wellness remedies.
I struggled with severe acne for 9 years and have tried every oral medication, topical cream, and DIY remedy you can think of, none of which worked.
At the end of 2019, I began actively healing myself through herbal remedies and formulating my own fresh cosmetics.
Basil & Oregano were two of the first medicinal herbs that I decided to study and use to create my first acne-healing elixir. Through a little trial and error, I created my notorious “Tonic Toner,” which still to this day is one of my best-selling items!
3 years into my journey as a business owner, I now have created 30+ plant-based beauty and wellness products that will suit you and your entire family, including children & four-legged friends!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My entire journey so far has been an awesome learning experience! A few things that I have had to work extra hard on as a business owner, are time management and understanding that it is okay to ask for help sometimes.

I am proud to say that I created an honestly natural beauty/wellness brand, and that my mission to use organic ingredients is commendable. All of my products are handmade fresh with non-toxic, plant-based ingredients to create high-quality & long-lasting herbal remedies.
I do not use any artificial fragrance, dyes, or petroleum-based ingredients in any of my formulations to ensure eco-friendly & safe products for everybody.
Sustainability is another priority of mine, so I choose to package all products either in glass, recycled plastic, or biodegradable containers.
