Today we’d like to introduce you to Adria Chavers.
Hi Adria, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always considered myself an artist, from my early childhood years throughout my adulthood. There’s something about art, creating, exploring, and experiencing someone’s reaction to art that brings me peace and wonder. Because of this passion, I pursued a BA in Studio Art, however until a couple of years ago, I hadn’t thought much of turning my passion into a small business. I suppose the pandemic gave me a wake-up call – you should do what you love now because tomorrow is not guaranteed. My journey so far has been full of learning opportunities and meeting new individuals. As I continue growing my business, I look forward to taking on new challenges and bringing joy to all through art. After all, art is for all!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been blessed – no huge hiccups!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in portrait paintings, paint pouring, and I take requests for customized pieces of art using various mediums. Mediums have included charcoal, gems and stones, 3D objects and I’ve also created digital logos for various businesses and special events. To bring energy and life to my creations, I use bright colors that pop, however, I have created black and white pieces upon request. Additionally, I have sold craft kits, hosted art tutorials and I am currently planning to offer private paint parties! Like all things, I’ve honed in on my craft and am proud of how much I’ve improved through trial and error. A.C.Creativity is a Latina-owned small business. I take pride in my culture, my upbringing and my beliefs around inclusivity and individuality. For this reason, I am open to anyone’s art vision because art is for all!
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I am a very ‘right-brained’ individual. Growing up, and even now, I enjoy music, the arts, theater, etc. I’ve been described as a silent force of nature and always willing to lend a hand. My childhood interests included singing in acapella groups, playing soccer, and arting. 🙂 I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with my family, so I was able to experience many different cultures, including the people, food, art, language, etc.
