Today we’d like to introduce you to Som Baraily.

Hi Som, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We started our business in 2022. Before that, I used to run a restaurant in Tallmadge Circle. Once COVID hit, my restaurant business declined, and we decided to sell it. After a year, I planned to start a bigger business. I partnered with my brother Janga, and we bought the Italian Center in Akron, Ohio.

We put in our time and effort to change the Italian Center into the Royal Palace. We remodeled everything and gave it a different look. Now we host weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, Sweet 15 parties, corporate events, and more.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, we face many challenges. We were new in business; many contractors asked for money first and then didn’t show up. Some people came to rent the venue, and they gave a check that bounced. I have her contract and records of events.

We’ve been impressed with Royal palace akron, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

The Event Venue and Bar & Lounge. Our bar and lounge are open every day from 6 PM to 12 AM on weekdays, and until 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
We have 4 large pool tables. Food is available, and there is a stage. Special drinks are offered.

On the 1st floor, we have an event venue that accepts all types of events: weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties, baby showers, concerts, and DJ nights.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
You can host any type of event with us. If you want to host any type of 21+ event, we can collaborate and host it together. We have the best offer in town, so you will make more money from your event too.

If you’re a DJ, promoter, comedian, artist, or any type of event host, let’s work together and bring some entertainment to the city.

Pricing:

  • 100 to 250 an hour
  • Basic-package-$1600 (10 hours)
  • Silver – $2000 (10 hours), table & chair cover included
  • Gold – $3000 (10 hrs): table & chair cover, sound, light, throne or loveseat, cleaning included.
  • Platinum – we can build as you need.
