Today we’d like to introduce you to Sapna Bafna.
Hi Sapna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am an engineer and holistic health and well-being practitioner.
In 2012, I felt dizzy almost everyday. I went through all possible lab tests, MRI’s and specialists, only to hear from my primary physician that – ” Your problem is annoying, not life threatening. Deal with it”. This was my turning point. I felt unsupported by the medical system. The rebel in me wanted to acquire knowledge and leave no stone unturned in finding a solution. I had to become my own doctor. I gathered knowledge through a variety of courses, read ancient and modern spiritual texts, and equipped myself to understand the human body and mind.
Later, I left a thriving corporate career of 15 years to learn in depth about Yoga and how it is a science of right living. Reading Patanjali Yoga Sutra’, the bible of Yoga, shed a new light on how our mind and its ripples stand between us and our happiness. The definition of Yoga per Patanjali is – ‘Chitta Vritti Nirodha’ – complete cessation of mental modification. Mind is the primary focus of authentic Yoga and body and breath are just a means to the end. My quest to understand the mind better increased.
I then found EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/tapping) and a whole new world opened up for me. Through EFT I was able to completely cure chronic sore throat, tinnitus, rosacea, insomnia, and so many other issues that were holding me back. I realized that the answers to all my problems were right here inside of me and I had the skills to access and heal them.
After EFT certification, I felt there were way too many people who really needed to know about what I had learned the hard way. I felt compelled to share my knowledge and help them with their problems. I went on to learn several other healing modalities while helping my clients through my venture, ‘ManahShakti’.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The concept of looking into our emotional history to find the root cause of physical issues is unconventional. Convincing people to work on this novel idea was not easy. Though people internally felt that this all made sense, they couldn’t take that first step towards seeking help.
The other issue is that emotional distress is not easily detected via a simple test. It is rather cryptic. It manifests in the form of a variety of symptoms and diseases. These symptoms and reports might not point us in the direction of emotional healing because our healthcare system treats body and mind separately.
So here I was trying to do something that is not easily understood or accepted.
I used my roadblocks to fuel my passion and energy. The determination eventually paid off. Several people now look forward to getting help from me and are immensely benefiting after our work together. Many are courageously speaking about my work with them through testimonials.
As you know, we’re big fans of Manahshakti – Unleash the power of your mind. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
In Sanskrit, ‘Manah’ means mind and ‘Shakti’ means power.
At Manah Shakti, the goal is to provide mindful solutions that really work. These solutions are a combination of modern techniques/therapies and ancient knowledge.
Energy healing modalities and Yoga help my clients bring harmony in their mind and body as they let go of past patterns, conditionings of the mind, memories, traumas and limiting beliefs that are holding them back. This brings inner strength and peace which in turn helps in finding their authentic self and true potential.
I equip and empower them with skills so they can take care of themselves in the future. The awareness, clarity, and resolution that the clients get come from their own subconscious, and hence the healing is permanent.
Finding the emotional root cause of a physical issue and resolving the physical issue with emotional healing is what I have put into action.I see my clients get off their pain/acidity medications and find respite from chronic issues and mystery illnesses.
I have seen that healing a mother can have far-reaching positive effects on the entire family. I have also noticed that when healing is done at a younger age, the results are quicker than you would expect. I went through a whole year of parent counseling and it did not change my reality a whole lot. After healing myself and working on just a few incidents with my son, I saw a huge difference in his behavior and attitude. I have also come to a realization that some beliefs take root in the utero and early years of a person’s life. Working with some emotionally charged events from my pregnancy and my son’s forceps birth has immensely benefited him and me.
With this work, many find a resolution in their longstanding remorse with a close family member, especially parents. Some of them are able to completely forgo their bad habits like a compulsive sweet tooth or phobias like fear of flying. Significant shift comes about once grief and guilt are processed. I see my clients faces look happier and younger as they shed layers upon layers of old stale energy.
One of my clients would go through turmoil every time she passed her childhood home. After working with me she was able to look at her childhood home and feel neutral. She was also able to keep her calm and stay positive through cancer recovery. Releasing past emotions is much easier and quicker than imagined.
I help my clients in removing emotional blocks that open new doors to progress and success. I support my clients in reversing their overwhelm and anxiety so they can save themselves from future distress, time away from things and people they love, and money spent on healthcare. I help them to take action to bring their dreams to reality.
How do you think about luck?
When one finds their purpose in life, their calling, the universe works in every way possible to support them. Every time I get stuck, help pours in from unexpected places, even from strangers. No exaggeration here. I feel supported and guided in this second act of my career.
I also feel extremely lucky to have a wonderful husband, Parag, who stands by me like a rock. He lets me experiment and gives me space and time for self discovery. My parents have always loved me unconditionally and it remains my source of strength. I am also very grateful to all my mentors, my guiding angels, my loving family and everyone who lets me be a part of their healing journey. I learn everyday through my teachers, my clients and everyone I meet.
