Inspiring Conversations with Morgan Warnecke of Moco. Skin Studio, LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Warnecke.

Hi Morgan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my career in pharmaceuticals, where I worked for nearly ten years. While it was a stable career, I knew deep down it wasn’t where my true passion lived. As aesthetics began to emerge as a field, I felt called to pursue it—even though it meant starting over.

I enrolled in a 10-month night program while still working my corporate job full-time. My weekdays were spent at work, my evenings in class, and my weekends completing internship hours. It was exhausting and often overwhelming, but I kept reminding myself of the bigger picture. When I graduated and passed my state boards in 2022, it felt like the beginning of the life I had been working toward for so long.

My first role in aesthetics wasn’t an easy one. As someone new to the industry, I was taken advantage of financially, and it left me questioning if I had made the right choice. There was a point where I almost walked away entirely. But with encouragement from my husband and parents, I pushed forward—and I am so grateful that I did.

Today, I’m proud to say I own my own business, where I provide a variety of esthetic services including facials, waxing, chemical peels, lashes, brows, and permanent makeup. Over time, I also grew into bridal artistry, and now I get to share in some of the most meaningful moments of my clients’ lives as a makeup artist for weddings and special events.

Along with both of these businesses, I also teach the esthetics program, two evenings a week from 3-10pm for adult education at our local school, Apollo Career Center. Here I have the opportunity to teach about 40 upcoming aestheticians and get them prepared over their 10 month course to help them pass their Ohio state boards and become the best version of themselves for their businesses and their clients. It’s extremely rewarding watching them, excel and grow as individuals and knowing that I help do that brings me a great sense of pride.

What fulfills me most isn’t just the treatments I provide—it’s the people I serve. Aesthetics is about more than skincare or makeup; it’s about connection, confidence, and self-care. I love knowing that I can give someone not only a treatment, but also a sense of empowerment. Many of my clients come to me for advice and encouragement beyond the treatment room, and those relationships have become the foundation of my success.

Looking back, the path here was far from easy. It took sacrifice, resilience, and the courage to keep going even when I doubted myself. But every challenge shaped me, and every step brought me closer to building a life and career I am deeply proud of.

Owning my business has been both humbling and rewarding. I am so grateful for the community that has supported me, for the clients who trust me, and for the family who never let me give up. This journey taught me that pursuing your passion is always worth it—and I wake up every day thankful that I get to live mine.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have absolutely been struggles along the way. From attending night school while working a very demanding corporate job, to being taken advantage of financially, to building my client base from the ground up, having no knowledge of the industry before starting this career.

I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come because this is not an easy industry to excel in, unless you put in a lot of hard work dedication and patience. It has to be your passion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a licensed esthetician and the founder of my own brand, which has grown into so much more than traditional aesthetics. While my foundation is in skincare, my business now also encompasses bridal makeup and special event artistry. I specialize in brows and permanent makeup, and I’m most recognized for my eyebrow tattooing and bridal work—services that have brought in clients from out of state seeking a natural, refined look they can trust.

What truly sets me apart is not only the technical skill behind the services, but the experience I create for each client. My work is grounded in empathy—I genuinely want to see people feel good in their own skin. I’ve always rooted for the underdog, and that translates into cheering my clients on, bringing out their best features, and helping them step into a version of themselves that radiates confidence.

Brand-wise, I’m proud that what started as a solo venture has become a space where artistry, beauty, and self-confidence intersect. Whether it’s a bride preparing for one of the most important days of her life, or someone seeking permanent makeup to simplify their routine and feel more polished, I strive to deliver results that feel both elevated and personal. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that beauty is not about changing who you are—it’s about enhancing it. This is why I started MoCo. Skin Studio. The name comes from my friends and family calling me “Mo” and I wanted to combine this with being a brand or company within the skin realm. Hence, MO (company) MoCo was born.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think this industry is only going to grow and evolve over the next 5 to 10 years, I definitely think there will be many changes in trends, but I think overall people wanting to take care of themselves and invest in their confidence will always be in style.
