Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisamarie Pietragallo Moreschi.
Hi Lisamarie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Like a lot of people in healthcare, my journey started with frustration.
I spent years working as a Nurse Practitioner watching more and more people struggle with symptoms that weren’t being fully explained by conventional answers alone. Women would come in exhausted, inflamed, unable to lose weight, dealing with brain fog, hormone issues, gut problems, sleep disruption, anxiety, and feeling like their body had suddenly “turned against them.” Many had already tried everything — diets, medications, supplements, fitness programs, hormone support — yet still felt stuck.
What I kept seeing was that these issues rarely existed in isolation. The body functions as an interconnected system, but most people were being given fragmented solutions. One provider focused on hormones. Another focused on weight loss. Another focused on gut health. Another focused on stress. Meanwhile, the person sitting in front of me still didn’t feel well.
That realization pushed me deeper into functional health, nutrition, mineral balance, inflammation, nervous system regulation, and metabolic health. I went on to complete advanced training and eventually earned my PhD in Holistic Nutrition because I wanted to better understand why the body stops responding even when someone is “doing all the right things.”
Over time, I began developing the philosophy and framework that now drive my work and educational platform. Today, through Lisamarie NP and my Complete Restoration System™ (CRS), I focus on helping people understand that their body is not broken — it may simply not be receiving or responding to signals properly anymore.
A huge part of my work centers around what I call Cellular Signal Restoration™ (CSR), which explores how chronic inflammation, stress, gut dysfunction, mineral depletion, metabolic dysfunction, and nervous system overload can interfere with the body’s ability to communicate and respond appropriately. In many cases, people aren’t failing because they lack discipline. They’re struggling because their system has become overwhelmed and dysregulated.
What makes this especially meaningful to me is that this wasn’t built in a boardroom or copied from trends online. It evolved from years of clinical experience, pattern recognition, education, and listening to patients who felt dismissed, confused, or defeated.
Today, my mission is shifting beyond traditional one-on-one care into creating scalable education, programs, and resources that help people better understand their bodies and stop feeling trapped in the cycle of “trying harder” without answers. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect the dots, simplify the noise, and realize there’s often a deeper reason why they feel stuck.
And honestly, I’m still evolving too. What started as a traditional practice has grown into a much bigger vision centered around education, systems thinking, empowerment, and helping people restore resilience from the inside out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not — and honestly, I think the struggles are what shaped the mission behind everything I do now.
One of the biggest challenges was realizing that the traditional healthcare model often isn’t built for the kind of deep, systems-based care many people actually need. In conventional medicine, providers are under enormous pressure with limited time, insurance constraints, and a model that often prioritizes symptom management over understanding why symptoms developed in the first place. As a provider, that can be incredibly frustrating because you genuinely want to help people at a deeper level.
There was also a steep learning curve in stepping outside the conventional framework and trusting my own pattern recognition. When you start connecting gut health, metabolism, inflammation, mineral balance, nervous system regulation, and hormones together, you quickly realize how interconnected everything is — but you also realize you’re operating differently than many traditional models. That takes courage because innovation almost always looks “different” before it becomes accepted.
On a personal level, balancing entrepreneurship, healthcare, continued education, and life has definitely been challenging too. I went back to school later in life, earned advanced degrees while working, and built businesses while navigating real-world responsibilities. There were plenty of moments of exhaustion, overwhelm, self-doubt, and wondering whether all the risk and hard work would pay off.
I also think one of the hardest parts was learning that “working harder” is not always the solution — both in business and in health. That realization actually mirrors a lot of what I teach now. Sometimes people don’t need more supplements, more restriction, or more punishment. They need the right sequence, the right support, and a system that allows the body to respond again. Ironically, I had to learn that lesson myself as an entrepreneur too.
Another challenge has been building something that doesn’t fit neatly into one box. I’m a Nurse Practitioner, but I’m also an educator, creator, systems thinker, and entrepreneur. I had to learn how to merge science, clinical care, education, and communication into something that feels authentic and actually helps people make sense of their health in a practical way.
But every struggle helped refine the bigger vision. The obstacles forced me to think differently, simplify complexity, and create frameworks that are both educational and actionable. Looking back, the difficult seasons were probably the exact things that pushed me toward building something more meaningful and scalable than I originally imagined.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Lisamarie NP Education LLC and Optimal Health & Well-Being LLC?
At Optimal Health & Well-Being and Lisamarie NP Education, we focus on helping people better understand the connections between gut health, metabolism, hormones, inflammation, stress, and mineral balance through a systems-thinking approach. A big part of what makes our work different is that we don’t believe the body is “broken.” We believe symptoms are communication, and that many people are stuck because their body has stopped responding appropriately to the signals it’s receiving.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner with a PhD in Holistic Nutrition, my passion has always been bridging science, lifestyle, and practical everyday health strategies in a way people can actually understand and implement in real life.
We specialize in combining functional health education, advanced lab interpretation, nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and foundational health support in a way that is practical, understandable, and empowering. Rather than chasing symptoms one by one, we focus on helping people understand the bigger picture of what may be driving their struggles.
One of the core beliefs behind everything we create is that food is medicine. We believe the foods we eat are some of the most powerful signals we give the body every single day. That philosophy has expanded into educational programs, recipes, wellness content, and an upcoming cookbook and educational guide that teaches people how to use food and foundational lifestyle strategies to support gut health, metabolism, hormones, and inflammation in a realistic and sustainable way.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that we’re building something that helps people feel hopeful again. So many people feel dismissed, overwhelmed, or frustrated after trying countless diets, supplements, medications, and programs without understanding why nothing seems to work anymore. Our goal is to help people finally connect the dots in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing that surprises people is that I didn’t set out to become an entrepreneur or build a brand at all. I was actually a very nontraditional student and went back to school later in life after navigating some major personal challenges and life transitions. A lot of people see the businesses, programs, and educational platform now, but they don’t realize how much reinvention happened behind the scenes to get here.
Another thing people may not know is that creativity plays a huge role in how I think and work. Most people know me through functional health and education, but I’m also deeply drawn to creating things — whether that’s developing recipes, designing educational frameworks, building programs, gardening, or even making candles and dyeing yarn during the pandemic as a stress outlet. I genuinely love the process of taking complex or chaotic things and turning them into something beautiful, practical, and meaningful. Honestly, that same mindset shows up in how I approach health too.
I also think people are sometimes surprised by how much humor and real life I bring into my work. Health can feel intimidating and overwhelming for a lot of people, and I never wanted my brand to feel cold, clinical, or fear-based. I believe education sticks better when people feel seen, understood, and comfortable enough to laugh a little along the way.
And maybe the biggest surprise is that many of the concepts I teach now came from years of quietly observing patterns that other people overlooked. I’ve always been someone who asks “why?” and keeps digging deeper when something doesn’t fully make sense. A lot of the systems-thinking approach behind Cellular Signal Restoration™ came from years of connecting dots that initially seemed unrelated — things like inflammation, mineral depletion, stress physiology, metabolism, gut dysfunction, and nervous system overload all influencing each other at the same time.
What looked “different” early on, has now become the Complete Restoration System, to help others find the answers they’ve been looking for.
